With her trademark lyricism, Maggie Stiefvater turns to a new world, where a pair are swept up in a daring, dangerous race across a cliff—with more than just their lives at stake should they lose.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Scorpio Races to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed the use of a male and female narrator as well as the skill of the actor's ability to make distinctive character voices.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I am undecided between Puck or her little brother, Finn. Maybe I just like how Stiefvater developed their relationship. Itwas enchanting and so very real.

    Any additional comments?

This is so much more than a book with supernatural leanings. It is well written, funny, heart wrenching and overall, a pleasure to read or listen to. It was one of those books where I found myself wishing I could keep listening, and hoping it would not end.

Evil comes in all sorts of flavors. Some bitter. Some deceptively sweet. That’s what Katelyn discovers on the day she dies. One minute she’s a depressed teen with a loser life. The next, she’s lying on a stainless steel slab, eyes glassy, skin frosted over, and very, very dead. Was it: suicide? Murder? Who's to blame? Twins Hayley and Taylor Ryan stumble upon the truth, which is far more disturbing than they could have ever imagined ... and which sheds light on another secret, a hidden past even they don’t know about.

    What disappointed you about Envy?

Outdated references, irritating, choppy dialogue, and improbable plot points.

Would you ever listen to anything by Gregg Olsen again?

Probably not. He wrote from the perspective of a teenage girl, making everyone look stupid, vain and self centered. Also, he tried to describe fashion and tastes which came off outdated and not what a teenager would wear.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Her teenagers sounded all the same, nasal valley girls.
