I find a well read book hugely entertaining.

Any of the Disc World books. I like the continuity of the quirky Disc World characters who pepper the pages from book one in the Disc World series, The Colour of Magic to this last one, Snuff. Wonderful!

If you are a Disc world fan then this is for you and if you have never heard of it then do yourself a favour, buy book one and start listening. You will be hooked very soon just like the millions of Terry Pratchett fans world wide. I would have liked Nigel Planer to read this although Steven Briggs does a good job.

Dean Koontz is the Master of fright! He is a fantastic Wordsmith who weaves intricate and absorbing tales with a wonderful balance of menace and humor. His writings often draw attention to current affairs or situations of concern or interest.

One door away from Heaven parallels three lives successfully which finally merge together as one. His love of dogs clearly shines through in this interesting tale of the bizarre and sinister.

Anne Twomey reads this book very well and in no way detracts from the story or irritates in any way.

Worth a listen!

Thoroughly enjoyable! The 'special effects' are very interesting and imaginative. The story is well written and flows well from chapter to chapter. It is basically about the War of Revenge on the Shattered Plains, about tactics, chasm duty, bridge runners and the lives of the people caught up in military camps, strange cities and each other. It's not short on heroes or villains. The story is unusual and the most excellent narration of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading make this a pleasure to listen to from page one. Initially Michael Kramer tends to sound slightly monotonous but soon you become enthralled by the way he fleshes out the characters and makes them instantly recognizable. Spend the credit if you like fantasy :o)

Yes, I will listen to this again since there is much to be absorbed in the telling.

The author's first hand experience and insight is invaluable and very moving. So often information is not based on personal experience but the teaching of other people passed on to the reader. Dr. Frankl not only survived this terrible ordeal but wrote it down for us to read and learn from.

Simon Vance is an excellent narrator and reads with sensitivity and intelligence.

This small book evokes a lot of emotion in the listener and gives an invaluable insight into the human character on the road of survival. If our behaviour as humans is of interest to you then this book is a must!

Yes, I would. I mostly tend to listen to the books I buy more than once since I often miss a lot first time round. Leave it for a few months and it's like a new book again.

The plot, like all Scarpetta novels, was great.

She reads very well and I like her entire rendition.

I remember most of them but mostly the bad guys seem to hang around in a person's memory.

If anything, it was too short. I love long books with interesting and cunning plots and lots of twists and turns.

No, thanks. Boring reading and uninteresting material. If you feel the need to embark on a spiritual quest there are thousands of books better suited than this one.

John Irving is an outstanding wordsmith and storyteller. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this very well crafted and entertaining story exceptionally narated by Joe Barrett. Very entertaining! I'm hoping Audible will make the many other books written by John Irving available soon. More Joe Barrett too please :)

This review covers all three books of the Iron Tower.

I have already listened to this story...it's called The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by Tolkien. I don't understand how The Iron Tower Trilogy has been published as an original work. If the author would have at least tried to tip his hat to Tolkien and written 'his trilogy' as an addendum or supplemental story to Tolkien's work it might have been a bit more acceptable. Way too much weeping, teary eyes and hoods over the head as well. A teeter-totter?? Unimaginative use of a very childish term for a fantasy story. Audible: Can I please have my money back??

The Stories are what they are, old fashioned now, with vigilante stabbings and shootings aplenty. Accompanying the Mike Hammer and Velda characters there is always sexual undertone. I enjoyed the wonderful voice of stacy Keach and his rendition of Mike Hammer. It's well worth a listen.

When I first read this book, I had a hundred objections and questions written down to ask the author until I realised that this is not about my journey but about his. THEN I started to see the value of his sharing his deepest journey with me. Thank you.
