Kristen Potter was an excellent narrator, I would definitely listen to other books read by her.

I would try other Tami Hoag books as well.

I listened to the other Oak Knoll books and this was by far the most sexually explicit. It was a little to much for me and I found myself fast forwarding through some parts. I liked the other Oak Knoll books better, although they were violent I felt like they were less twisted.

I did not mind that this book was not as focused on Ann and Vince though, I thought the author did a really good job of tying Ann and Vince into the story. Same with the Wendy character and her mother.

I find the Tudor period fascinating - very interesting book and very well written.

The relationship between Mary & Elizabeth after Mary had ascended to the thrown.

Simon Prebble has the best narration voice! Perfect for this subject.

The book started out pretty well and then the author added in a second romance and it got kind of weird. First, I would have preferred if the story just focused on the protagonist's efforts to get back to her own time. Secondly, when the 2nd romance is added in she went from a strong independent woman to a submissive wife, I preferred the earlier version of Claire. Third, many of the encounters between Jamie and Claire are marital rape. Very creepy. I don't care that it's historical fiction, it's creepy.

She was very good at all the character voices. She gave each character a distinct voice, which must have been difficult given the large cast of characters.

I don't know - the first part is good and the narrator is great but it just got long and weird.

I found this book quite slow and the story wasn't really that well crafted. I didn't feel like the main character's role was that well explained at the beginning of the story. I'm not a big fantasy reader/listener and maybe that made a difference but this just wasn't resonating with me. Half way through the story I found that I just didn't care what happened to the characters and turned the book off. I'm glad I bought this in and audiable sale and didn't waste a credit on it.

No, this was a pretty boring book.

The narrator did a fine job but the writer wrote 'he/she said quietly' A LOT. It really started to get on my nerves (like when someone says 'um' a lot in a speech and you start counting). It was just weird.

I would totally recommend this book - Tina is witty, charming and had me laughing throughout the entire book.

Tina's voice really brings to book to life. Her enunciations on certain words and voices when telling stories really add to the book and make it more of a performance. I really enjoy Tina's voice and appreciate her humor more after listening to this book.

This book made me laugh out loud multiple times, which got be some strange looks when I was out in public but it was worth it.
