It was supposed to be a fun day, shopping at the mall with her best friend. Then the panic attack started and Kaylee Cavanaugh finds herself screaming, unable to stop. Her secret fears are exposed, and it's the worst day of her life....Until she wakes up in the psychiatric unit. She tries to convince everyone she's fine--despite the shadows she sees forming around another patient and the urge to scream which comes burbling up again and again.

What would have made My Soul to Lose better?

the narrator was monotone and the story never explains what was real or in her head

What was most disappointing about Rachel Vincent’s story?

when she would jump between characters stating there names was very annoying

Would you be willing to try another one of Amanda Ronconi’s performances?

    not at this time

What character would you cut from My Soul to Lose?

there were no characters that needed cutting but they all needed more developing

    Any additional comments?

this story had great potential with a better narrator and more time to understand the characters and personality

Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words - and tired of his safe life at home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the "Great Perhaps." Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up, and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.

Looking for Alaska brilliantly chronicles the indelible impact one life can have on another.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Jeff Woodman just screwed up Alaska's voice it did not work and screwed up the whole story just could not get past the narration

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

the ending worked but dragged on too long

How could the performance have been better?

may be if the narrator had a little more emotion and feeling but Alaska sounded like a truck driver

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

the end was very sad and tied all the characters together

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

What would have made Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs better?

a different narator without a winey voice

What could Molly Harper have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

vampires may not be real but when the wrighter just throughs out all you know as rummor this kills the whole thing

What didn’t you like about Amanda Ronconi’s performance?

she sounds too old like her voice is going

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

after suffering through the whole book some parts where fun in a childish way

While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.
