The legend began in the obscure little town of Pico Mundo. A fry cook named Odd was rumored to have the extraordinary ability to communicate with the dead. Through tragedy and triumph, exhilaration and heartbreak, word of Odd Thomas' gifts filtered far beyond Pico Mundo, attracting unforgettable new friends - and enemies of implacable evil.

When I first downloaded the book Odd Hours by Dean Koontz, I didn't realize that this was a series of books with a man Odd Thomas as the main character. I now will download the rest. In any case I enjoyed this book. It was an easy read (listen) and the plot and story line were good.

The cause of the devastation is a phenomenon that will come to be known as The Pulse, and the delivery method is a cell phone. Everyone's cell phone. Clay and the few desperate survivors who join him suddenly find themselves in the pitch-black night of civilization's darkest age, surrounded by chaos, carnage, and a human horde that has been reduced to its basest nature...and then begins to evolve.

I read (listened to) the book called Cell by Stephen King. I enjoyed the book, but the ending left you hanging and you kind of had to write the ending in your mind. Typical King, but pretty enjoyable overall.

What a great read (listen) The Fifth Vial by Michael Palmer was! I didn't want to stop until it was over and when it did end it left me wanting more! It is a great book and I think one of the best I have read (listened to) in quite awhile. Enjoy!
