"A little different and clever story"
The story is a little different to my usual read. It got my attention and kept my attention.
I enjoyed the characters that were so well described and their behaviours so well related I could see them. I enjoyed the much less than obvious ending.
This book was my first experience. I enjoyed both very much.
I became frustrated by some of the behaviours of the characters which Is the reaction I think most would have. While I felt frustrated it reflected the emotional connection I had to the characters.
A good experience.
"Nice read / listen"
Again a book with layers and characters that were a little surprising. The description of the surroundings painted a picture in which the characters moved about creating the story. The humour shone through.
There were several moments which were not expected. To tell may spoil the story for a reader/listener.
The narrator brought the characters to life making them real expressing their personality traits and behaviours which again made me 'see' the players.
The Italian Innkeeper
The book was a little surprising for me, I didn't think it would be my type of book but it was and I'm very glad I took the opportunity of the thoroughly enjoyable experience.
"Interesting with many layers"
The various interwoven stories of the lives of the numerous characters.
Nothing I can think of to compare.
The character of Terry was very good.
Yes, towards the end. The unnecessary loss.
The story starts out a little slow and I wasn't sure about the standard of writing, but it builds into great reading.
