Chuck Palahniuk writes about a variety of topics. Each time he finds something new in the human condition. Talking about the Porn industry and those it attracts isn't an easy read. Yet Palanhniuk write a story about humanity in all its gory detail. This story has stayed with me for a while, which I didn't think would happen from such a short story.
I am afraid that this "classic" has not aged well. Not much action, not much payoff. Just boring and lifeless, kind of like the New South Wales setting.
Steve Martin once again delivers a great book. Who knew the actor could do the research required to deliver a compelling story of the art world and how it works and also an interesting love story as well.
This is just a great story. This story is full of surprises and turns, and it keeps the listener interested until the final page. Very entertaining and well performed.
This book contains fascinating information regarding human sexuality and what it means today. It takes a hard look at where we as a species comes from and how modern human beings are forced to adapt to a different notion of sexuality today.
Most definitely. The narrator brings the story to life.
Nothing else quite like it.
Kate brings the characters to life in a way that I wouldn't have expected on my own.
Actually, the book is full of moving scenes. Again, one of the best I've read in a while.
