this was a quick listen and I bought it because of the narator mostly. I enjoyed it, however this would have been a good anthology, I did not like that 3 authors are writing the same story even if there are different couples involved.
The narration was good, the story was not bad but everyone in this town was pregnant. I do like pregnancy as a theme and that is why I purchased this book but it just goes over the top with it.
It was a good book with excellent narration, however it should not be under romance but time travel fiction. It was a little too flowery for me but at least it is not overly long. I like time travel but do not compare this to Outlander in any way. Has nothing to do with that. The characters share one kiss for the entire book and we don't get to see much of the timeline in which she travels. The main character is also a girl with hardly any skill for survival in the early 18th century. I did like the lay line view of travel through time and to be honest going back in time was less interesting then the mystery uncovered in the present.
I was blown away by the story and narration of this book. The narrator is the best I have listened to, she did such a variety of accents, I could not believe it was possible they were done by the same person. The story is very engaging and it deserves 5 star rating, but the audio version of the book deserves +5more points. I recommend this book for everyone, even if you do not like romance reads you will enjoy it. From french accents to german and english it was awesome!!!
I enjoyed this book very much, the story is nice but the narrator is even better, the best I have come across so far, she really gives life to the characters and everyone is different, I liked it so much I went on and purchased Mine till midnight by Lisa Klaypas just because of the narrator and I am enjoying that one as well. Rosalyn Landor is hands down best narrator I have listened to, thank you!
