I liked this book until I got to the ending. I hate movies and books that don't tie up loose ends. It is an obvious ploy to force me to buy the next book to see how it ends. It's very disappointing end to an otherwise very good book. I did not like Nick Sullivan's voice at normal speed. I needed to listen to it at 1.5 speed. At that speed it was much better.
Get a different narrator.
A different narrator would improve the listening pleasure of this book.
I had a nightmare every night that I listened to this...it's going back to Audible.
I happen to be a great fan of Brad Thor's novels. I love Harvath and his adventures. This was more of a police procedural and history lesson (which is great, as long as that is what you like). The story was very interesting and the information, which I am certain is true, is frightening, however I like Scott in action and kicking a**. He seemed too domesticated in this novel, a back seat character.
The narration is so poor that I could not listen after chapter 3. I tried, I really did, but to no avail. I'm going to have to read this on my nook or kindle.
This is a very good reminder of how important it is to keep a vigilant watch on performing tasks that need to get done, in order that we can move to more pleasant, less irksome tasks. It also provides a number of great methods to move along your list of things that need to be done for the day/week/year.
I found myself so involved in the narration and story that during a particularly suspenseful section, I was sweating!
This is a new author for me, so I was uncertain what I would find. What I found was a fast paced mystery with tight suspense and a surprise finale. I would have preferred a different narrator due to the difficulty she had with deep male voices. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised.
' non-stop action' without a chance to catch my breath between scenes!
The conclusion. It was very unexpected!
In approximately the upper 20% of my 500+ audiobooks.
There is no memorable moment, however the overall common sense approach to controlling your feelings and why it s so important is stressed throughout the book.
It's too monotone. It can actually put me to sleep.
When we are obedient to God and really want to live beyond our feelings we can.
Those who love hidden treasure. It does not begin there but it ends up there.
I didn't have one
several of them
Yes. I already have listened to it several times.
He has a soothing and encouraging voice.
