When the body of a night watchman is found sprawled in the shadow of a rare 19th-Dynasty mummy case, panic ensues. For no one doubts that the guard's untimely demise is the work of an ancient Egyptian curse. No one, that is, except that tart-tongued Victorian Egyptologist, Amelia Peabody, whose remarkable talent for criminal investigation has frustrated villains from London to Cairo.

Whatever says: "Kept this Amelia Peabody fan happy!"
    "Ms. Narrator"
    Overall

I have listened to five of the books in this series- one after another - and I find the narrator to be just fine. I think this is a matter of personal preference. Try one and make your own judgement. The reader does make the characters come to life, in my humble opinion.

Bredan Fraser makes this book come alive - it is like going to the movies! We listened to it in the car and keep finding excuses to go on errands so we could listen to more!

Being a teenager is both wonderful and challenging. In The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, author Sean Covey applies the timeless principles of the 7 Habits to teens and the tough issues and life-changing decisions they face.

    "Not the Real thing"
    Overall

I was very disappointed in this offering. My dyslexic son had to read this book and usually the books on Audible mean that he can listen to rather than struggling to read it -- but this is not the book -- just a talk --- so be warned , it is not the real thing. No help to us!!!

While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, a baffling cipher found near the body. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, sort through the bizarre riddle, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci, clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

I am just getting started at listening to books on my iPod and I couldn't wait for car pool time, drives to the soccer field, a trip on an airplane -- all because of this book.
It drags a little here and there and you find yourself almost shouting at the characters -- ok to do in the car alone BTW-- when they don't get the clue right away -- but I think the author planned it that way. Thanks for opening up a new door for an old Mom. BTW - I liked the narrator very much.
