i thoroughly enjoyed this dramatisation. i have already listened to it twice. it captures the essence of the book without getting too wordy or tedious. i am also currently listening ro the unabridged reading of the book.

although emma is not my favorite austen novel, this adapation was very entertaining. i actually own this on cassettes which i purchased years ago. i enjoyed it so much i wanted it on my mp3 player to listened to at any time. if only bbc would adapt pride & prejudice into a radio dramatisation i would be in heaven.

i love this adaptation of the LOTR. all the actors do justice to the characters in this beloved classic. i especially enjoyed the voice of ian holm (who plays bilbo in the movies) giving life to frodo. i highly recommend all three (TLOTR, TTT, and TROTK) dramatisations from BBC.

This is not a bad dramatisation of a classic. i had to have it because i am a huge tolkien fan (i already own the audiobook on cds). but if you are bothered by the american pronunciations, i would highly recommend the bbc dramatisation of the LOTR with ian holm voicing frodo. the bbc version is also available from audible. i give the bbc versions 5 stars.

Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books. I try to read the story once a year. Now I will listen to it every year. Amanda Root does an excellent job of reading this book. My only complaint it that the book is divided into two parts.
I would also like to respond to an ealier review where the listener complained of 'jane' being called 'Janet'. If you read the book carefully, Jane is called 'Janet' by Mr. Rochester several times in the book. Check out Chapters 22 and 24.
