"Thrilling, heartbreaking and raw with emotion"
At the very top of the list.
ANY KNOWN BLOOD. The story takes you from girlhood to womanhood and has you inside the minds and hearts of the people and their circumstances as they are controlled seemly by the universe. Yet in their despair they know who they are and what is right, true and decent despite desperate circumstances.
Warmth and intimacy
Hmmm… I would have to think about that
"Not her usual great story"
Her storyline was well pretty boring and she repeated her colorful descriptions over and over.
Not her best novel.
Hard to say
Yes, but not on HBO. It could be condensed to a movie of the week on a network station.
I still love Charlene Harris but I will take my time and wait for the right book.
"Better to be Seen and not Heard"
Writer made characters one-deminsional. I would have liked better narrater. His voice was flat and you noticed he was male during his female speaking parts. In a narrator you are lost in the story not the voice.
Game of Thrones
As above
The shopping at the mall, the sneaking in and out of the house was excessive and towards the end where the heroine dresses as a male and follows the detective
Good parts but overall I was disappointed. I know where here was going with this but it missed the mark. Do not get me wrong, I love a good Mickey Spillane novel but this was undeveloped and left the reader feeling as though she waisted her time.
"Broken"
This audio short story degraded women and passed it self off as a special bond between two people. It is a crude depiction of love.
The descriptions of the intimate trists were nauseating and sleazy. a movie was written based on this short story.
