This is a very entertaining audiobook, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I laughed aloud several times (how embarassing!), and I identified with much of what Sarah Vowell had to say. (Yeah, I'm a nerd.) In response to some other reviews, let me say that it must severely limit your world if you can't enjoy listening to anyone you disagree with politically; you may wish to consider recording your own opinions and listening to those. As Billy Graham's wife once said, if two people agree about everything, then one of them is unnecessary. Additionally, I think the author is absolutely the ideal narrator for this work. Her wry, beautifully timed reading is right on target. She speaks very clearly and expressively with great comic timing. Ms. Vowell once aptly responded to a question about her "unique" voice by saying that people's comments about her voice say more about them than about her voice. Finally, it is refreshing to listen to someone who makes no apologies for valuing United States history and the rights and responsibilities we are so fortunate to have. It's rare to encounter such an entertaining discussion of history and politics. This is a fun, well-paced, thought provoking, informative, and quite funny book. It's my favorite audiobook so far.

I too ordered the book because the description stated that it was narrated by Nathaniel Parker, but it was in fact narrated by Enn Reitel. And I too am still waiting for the error to be resolved and for my account to be credited. Now I'm leary of purchasing the book from Audible since I don't know whether I can trust the descriptions. Maybe I'll have to go to Amazon, which *does* have the Parker version.
