I love Clancy books and audible reading in general. This book was such a disappointment. Shallow, predictable writing. Forced story line. He needs to go back to the writing style that made him successful. Terrible reader, too. Couldn't someone of Clancy's stature get a John Lee or anyone other than Weber?
Not unless it was free from the library and the reviews were outstanding.
No, but I will be very careful to read all the reviews before I buy another one.
Yes, by voice.
half the descriptive narratives. I wanted to read an action book, not a tourist guide book.
This book was so hard to slog through, that I finally gave up and didn't finish it which is very unusual for me.
I've read and listened to all of W.E.B. Griffin's other series several times each. This must have been his first attempt to write with his son. It was an awful book. I couldn't finish it. Random characters, pointless dialogue, wandering storyline. Admirable idea; terrible outcome.
Preferably a book written by him alone.
Yes, Scott Brick is great - I've listened to him many times.
The first 5 at least!
Read Griffin's early series. They are amazing.
Broken Harbor is a definite re-listen, both for missed nuances while trying to solve the mystery, and for the absolute enjoyment of Stephen Hogan's voices.
Let the wonderful Kevin Whatley read the unabridged book! I was so excited to see that he was narrating the books on which the tv series he was such a great part of was based, but so much of the book was left out,t hat I couldn't finish it.
Yes, if they are abridged
Try again - don't abridge
