Like most people left behind on an over-populated Earth, police detective Elijah Baley has little love for either the arrogant Spacers or their robotic companions. But when a prominent Spacer is murdered under mysterious circumstances, Baley is ordered to the Outer Worlds to help track down the killer. Then he learns that he has been assigned a partner: R. Daneel Olivaw. Worse, the R stands for "robot" - and his positronic partner is made in the image and likeness of the murder victim!

    Dionne says: "perfectly executed!"
    "excellent - Really enjoyed it"

I loved the terms used 50 years ago like shielded beam for now what we call an encrypted message. The reader is fabulous. I'm sure he studied Star Trek's Commander Data to get his robotic mannerisms. Really enjoyed it.

When two of his American employees were held hostage in a heavily guarded prison fortress in Iran, one man took matters into his own hands: American businessman H. Ross Perot. His team consisted of a group of volunteers from the executive ranks of his corporation, hand-picked and trained by a retired Green Beret officer. To free the imprisoned Americans, they would face incalculable odds on a mission that only true heroes would have dared.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

no. I could not finish. I kept thinking my audible app had switched to high speed. I even rebooted my phone. I just downloaded it to iTunes and it sounds the same.

What other book might you compare On Wings of Eagles to and why?

I love true stories like this and unbroken.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    read too fast

Could you see On Wings of Eagles being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    no idea

    Any additional comments?

    none
