This is a practical guide to growing a business through innovation. Lots in the book can be actioned in your business regardless of if it is a start up or not. It was more applicable to my business than I expected. I found parts of the book a little redundant and preachy.

Launch Pad - Y Combinator. Some similar principles but this is a more practical guide especially for those not in a new tech start-up.

the use of analogies and stories to make the point was helpful but overall I found the book a little repetitive and uninspiring.

This was a great book. I really enjoyed it. I am biased as a big fan of Apple and also President of an advertising agency. I do however think the principles of simplicity are well articulated by Ken and they can be applied to any business. The story also moves along well and is very engaging.

When Ken decides to bring forward a colleagues idea which he knows is weak (to be nice) and it puts him in the difficult position of defending it when he does not believe in it.

The repeated efforts to keep the name iMac.

No. It did make me want to apply the principles in the book to my business.

The whole process from selection to the launch of products on demo day was incredible enjoyable to me. It was exciting to get an inside look into Y Combinator.

The only extreme reaction would be the degree to which it inspired me to think differently about how I approach problems in my business.

Well worth the listen for anyone fascinated by Google, technology or business growth and culture.
