i did like this fast , chapters after chapters book, with each chapter allocated to a business person, it is uplifting, and what i did like as well , it the way each chapter finish with a little negative view of the person review and some further review.
I also do recommend it, it is a more light hearted business book, one i like for a change from the depth thinking one i read most of the time.
this is a reality check of what is happening in the world of business, with the speed of the South and the way , business have to adapt their strategy
i first found the style quite difficult but then i got right into it, and did get great inside as well as some of my values were shaken, and this I do like
An datas underworld is emerging, a world were numbers and datas are shared at a speed of light and where decisions can be taken not just with the help of graduated MBA like myself but with datas , integrated in the decision with algorithm and customers buying habits, it is an easy listen , even if i found the beginning hard, but your mind quickly plays catch up...
a must read for people who are interested in subject, it do give an good insight of what is coming in term of thought and as well as real company and person.
i am passionate about sustainable businesses in general and this is one of the best one i came across.
i am a true fan of Philip Kotler, i discovered his book in Paris about 25 years ago, and never stop being a fan, this book is a blessing of what is coming, a sort of conciousness marketing mix, where brand, values , stakeholder and customer alike come together in a sort of spining wheel, a true must read for all the crazy of marketing like myself..
this book drove me crazy as it is complicated and put people in boxes , analysing their behaviours etc....But it is a good book , i got "inside" about how people think and i do think that made it worth it going a bit crazy at time...
I enjoy this book , it is a more philosophical view of time management, i felt it was like "time management and zen" which came together. this book is not going to be of every bodies taste but i do recommend it, as it gave me energy to face time in a different light...
as much as i love the subject and the stories , i have to share somethings who really bothers me, as i was concentrating on the stories, the same concentration was interrupted by brackets " here and end of quotation brackets there"
I do anderstand that referrals to the autheurs is essentials but does it as to disminish the overall experience, of course i finished the book , but is it normal that i will always remember it as the brackets book?
i pick this book by the title, not knowing really what was in it.
to my surprise i was infront of research about creativity and entrepreneurship all what i trully enjoy and love, the book is about how to get the ball rolling, and how to get things in action for creative people. a must read
This book is a bit long, but I keep with it, and i did learn a lot, from engagement of staff to lobbing, effort in CSR initiatives...even if this book can be heavy at time with lots of datas and numbers, it make all sense and give you a idea that environment issues can have real datas.
