For this book I wish I could rate it 3.75, it was definitely better than a 3 but really not quite a 4. The characters are really well developed and Franzen's writing style is very detailed and so vivid (unbelievable descriptions of what it must be like to have Parkinson's disease) - you definitely get the picture he has painted with words, but sometimes he just goes on too long, the detail and description is just too much. I like a good book that doesn't waste my time with tedious, unrelated to the story, details. For me that is what stops this book from being a 4.

I loved this book and I want a dog like Enzo. Stein's writing style is so wonderful and anyone who has ever loved a dog can appreciate his dog insights. I have never really been all that interested in auto racing, but now I have a new appreciation of that sport and what it takes to compete as an race car driver. I laughed and cried my way through the book and at one point was doing both at once. Such a great story of love and devotion on both the human and animal levels. I didn't want it to end!

After reading all the 5 star reviews I was so excited to get this book and laugh my way through it. Unfortunately, I did very little laughing. I finished it because my reading rule is to finish all books, but I can't say it was easy to finish. Tina was just not funny. I had to go back and look at all the reviews and buried way deep in the review lists I found some like minded people, but for whatever reason we are in the minority of reviews for this book. Sorry, but there is no way I would give this book 5 stars, I can barely give it 2.

I thought this book was so interesting and informative. I listened to the Tipping Point first and although I enjoyed it, I feel the information in this book is so much more applicable to your everyday life. I was continually surprised at the author's insight and basically could not stop listening. Probably one of the most informative books I have ever read or listened to. I could not stop talking about it to my family and friends. It is a good one!

Great story and excellant story teller. The book was brought to life. I loved it as much as my daughter.

This is simply the best book I have ever read. Amazing story telling.
