Where does The End rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The End ranks right up near the top. As a series, this has to be one of my top three favorites.

What did you like best about this story?

It is a good old fashioned zombie tail with an interesting twist. I love the character interactions. I am completely drawn into this story.

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have only listened to Sean's work on this series. It is spot on as usual. He really has a great ability to bring the story and characters to life for me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There are several parts that really made me laugh out loud. Remember this line "God has a 50 cal? F***ing fantastic". That one about put me into a ditch as I was driving!

    Any additional comments?

As much as I love to see a good ending to a series, I am glad this one is continuing for a few more books as I am really into it. Get these books!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

For me it was not time well spent. I just couldn't get into the flow of the book. I was never drawn into the story.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Being written in the present tense just did nothing for me. It also seemed to jump around and I had a hard time staying interested because of that. I guess I am a good old fashioned past tense kind of story guy. lol

Did Peter Ganim do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

For me he did not. It just seemed to meld from one to the other and I had trouble recalling who was who and what their back story was.

Was The Infection worth the listening time?

For me it was not. Again, I am no judge of what makes up a good story. I can only go by what I can or can not get into. As I stated above, I could never get drawn into this book. I don't know if it was the narrator, who has an amazing voice but it just didn't seem to work well for me in this instance for some reason, or if it was the present tense writing or what it was.

    Any additional comments?

I will give this book another shot down the rode and see if I can get into it then.

Would you listen to A Plague Upon Your Family again? Why?

I would listen to it again. The story is fantastic. Not your typical zombie story as it turns out. The narration is great as well. Sean has a way of dragging me into the story and keeping me there.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Plague Upon Your Family?

There is no one memorable moment for me. It is a series of fun little moments that keep me going.

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have only heard him on this series and his work is spot on for this genre. I need to see what other work he has done and see how that works out as well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This whole series is one that makes me want to listen to it all in one sitting and then some!

    Any additional comments?

Get this series. I highly recommend it.

This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book one of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

What made the experience of listening to Zombie Fallout the most enjoyable?

    The narration was fantastic.

What did you like best about this story?

    Ryan Secrest!

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He gives a life to the main character that I quite possibly would have interpreted differently had I just read it. I enjoyed his take on the eldest Talbot.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nothing especially moving, but never really a down moment for me in this book.

    Any additional comments?

    Definitely worth the listen!

The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I had a very hard time getting into this book which is odd because the narration was excellent and it was a different take on the same old zombie tale. I can't quite put my finger on why it didn't work well for me.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the narration and voice acting.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

The voices and accents were excellent.

    Any additional comments?

So many people loved this, so I gave it a try. It was not quite my cup of tea apparently. I would still give it a listen as I am but one person who didn't love it in a sea of those who did.

The first book of Day by Day Armageddon took us deep into the mind of a military officer and survivor as he made a New Year's resolution to start keeping a journal. The man kept his resolution and brought to us the fall of humanity, day by day. We see the man transition from the life that you and I live to the prospect of fighting for his very survival against the overwhelming hordes of the dead. We see him bleed, we see him make mistakes, we witness him evolve.

    Nailbiting, exciting, fantastic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beyond Exile?

I really enjoyed the part of the story when he has to make it back to the compound after, well I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say after a bit of bad luck occurs.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    It was indeed!

A fitting book 2 for a great series!

What made the experience of listening to Day By Day Armageddon the most enjoyable?

It was a different take on another zombie story. Don't get me wrong, I love zombie stories. It is nice to have a different take though.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the fact that the story was basically a bunch of journal entries. It was a bit odd at first, and perhaps a bit disjointed until I got used to it. I quickly grew to love it though.

What does Jay Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is going to sound weird being that this is a zombie book, but I found his voice to be very "homey" and comforting.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have any extreme reactions. There were parts that had me chuckling for sure though.

    Any additional comments?

One of the better books I have listened to so far. Highly recommended.

When the end finally occurred, everything about it was cinematic. The dead came back and ate people, civilization collapsed, and no one could do a thing. But Cyrus V. Sinclair couldn’t care less; he’s a sociopath. Amidst the chaos, Cyrus sits back and contemplates the gore stained streets and screams of his fellow man with little more emotion than one of the walking corpses. With his cache of guns and MREs, he rather likes the idea of hunkering down in his Seattle apartment while the world ends outside.

What did you love best about The Undead Situation?

In a small way it reminded me of the Showtime series Dexter. Mainly in the main character. He feels nothing, but at times he seems to be developing the ability to feel. I found myself pulling for him to "become normal". That helped add to the zombie part of the story.

What did you like best about this story?

    It kept me entertained.

Have you listened to any of Kevin T. Collins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to Kevin's performances before so I can not compare. I did enjoy his performance in this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No one moment moved me. As I stated earlier, the continued "almost" emotional growth of the main character kept me tied to him.

    Any additional comments?

This book is definitely worth a listen.
