I enjoyed the unexpected view points present by Anne of Cleves. I enjoyed the development of her far beyond what I have read about her to date. She is a mystery and Greggory gave her a feeling of realness not achieved by the sparse facts available.
In truth, Katherine is annoying. I was hoping I would be given some sort of insight that could endure her to me.
I will listen to the book again, in turn.
Awesome. Not one single thing wrong with this. Please buy this. It is just perfect. In every way. Just perfect.
This is the second book I have listened to on Katherine. I enjoyed this take far more than the other. The character was far more tangible and relatable.
The narrator was perfect for the role. She takes a bit of getting used to, as do all narrators do. The story line was so amazing, I bought 3 new credits, just to have the series ready when I finished each book. I highly recommend this book/series.
This book is hilarious.
The story makes The Christ and the people around him into a real people. It gives a different perspective and is completely humorous.
I loved his voice and attitude.
I loved the way Elizabeth Haynes really takes you into the mind of Kathy.
Though I could foresee many of the events, there were surprising and exciting twists.
Karen Cass and David Thorpe surprised me very much. Karen Cass made Kathy so innocent and sweet and really made her come alive for me. Plus the accents rocked.
I will listen to this selection again for sure.
I compare this book to The Red Queen. Both books contain characters that can be abrasive and borderline annoying. Its enjoyable to expand ones imagination beyond the historical characters whom we admire.
I will listen to this story over and over.
The book unfolds revealing constant dark shocks. You never really know whats going to surface. I had an inkling here and there as it all played out. It was shocking to think the ideas I though had to be to outlandish played out.
I will continue to recommend this book to just about everyone.
Daniel was a surprising character that I was truly pulling for!
I am afraid to say anything! The book was a very nice perspective of the two queens from a point of view which i found unusual and enduring. I did have many moments however, which the story was just to outside of what I believe could have happened at that dangerous time. It was quite liberal with historical boundaries. This is not a complaint! I truly enjoyed the story.
