Brian Sobel's The Fighting Pattons is an extraordinary history of one American family's love of war. The primary focus is on the careers of the 20th-century Pattons: World War II legend General George S. Patton, Jr., and his lesser-known namesake and son, Major General George S. Patton, who fought in Korea and Vietnam.

What would have made The Fighting Pattons better?

If it was more about history than father & son tales.

What could Brian M. Sobel have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not try to spin the book in favor of Patton family agenda.

Which character – as performed by Adams Morgan – was your favorite?

    The father.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    NO

    Any additional comments?

The book was trying to make the son more than he was and down play the father. It seemed like the book was written to glorify the Patton name than to tell history. Too much trying to spin a favorable light.

This is the breathtaking adventure of the great Carthaginian general who shook the foundations of Rome. In the world's first "global" conflict, Hannibal Barca marched up and down the Italian peninsula for 18 years, appearing well nigh invincible to a Rome which began to doubt itself for the first time in its history.

Would you consider the audio edition of Hannibal to be better than the print version?

    I wouldn't know, since I didn't read it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hannibal?

There were many interesting moments throughout the listen, so to say one would be hard.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Again, the whole audio is good and to just say one is not doing it justice.

    Any additional comments?

    It's a good listen, I recommend it.

Football hero Jerry Rice grew up in Crawford, Mississippi, the son of a brick mason. He developed his hands by catching the bricks that his brothers threw at him. From these humble beginnings, Rice blazed a path to greatness, becoming the leading wide receiver in the NFL and winning three super bowl rings for the San Francisco 49ers.

Would you recommend Go Long! My Journey Beyond the Game and the Fame to your friends? Why or why not?

    It's worth the read.

Which character – as performed by Mirron Willis – was your favorite?

    Jerry of course?!

Could you see Go Long! My Journey Beyond the Game and the Fame being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Jerry???

    Any additional comments?

This is a good read, but like Jerry states, practise would help him write, a even better book.

Calliope Reaper-Jones so just wanted a normal life: buying designer shoes on sale, dating guys from Craig’s List, web-surfing for organic dim-sum for her boss. But when her father - who happens to be Death himself - is kidnapped, and the Devil’s Protege embarks on a hostile takeover of the family business, Death, Inc., Callie returns home to assume the CEO mantle - only to discover she must complete three nearly impossible tasks in the realm of the afterlife first.

What did you love best about Death's Daughter?

Overall a good listen & entertaining. I find Cleo too selfish and self obsorbed, but the other characters make up for her character defects.
