Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

I couldn't stand to hear it, or finish it! It is the worst book ever. It is a waste of a credit! I wish I could get my credit back. That is how bad this book is.

Mad Women is a tell-all account of life in the New York advertising world of the 1960s and '70s from Jane Maas, a female copywriter who succeeded in the primarily male environment portrayed by the hit TV show Mad Men. Fans of the show are dying to know how accurate it is: did people really have that much sex in the office? Were there really three-martini lunches? Were women really second-class citizens? Jane Maas says the answer to all three questions is unequivocally yes....

So very very boring, wish I could get a refund.

I had seen the movie years ago in black and white. So when I saw that this was a dramatization of the book I wanted to get it. It did not disappoint. I was glued to my seat. I didn't want to stop listening to it. I just really enjoyed this book. You get so into it and it makes you think about how we judge one another based really on nothing really at all but; impressions, stereotypes, life experience with someone similar but rarely on fact. This was excellent it, listen to it and then share it.!!!

At Mile 81 on the Maine turnpike is a boarded up rest stop, a place where high school kids drink and get into the kind of trouble high school kids have always gotten into. It’s the place where Pete Simmons goes when his older brother, who’s supposed to be looking out for him, heads off to the gravel pit to play “paratroopers over the side”. Pete, armed only with the magnifying glass he got for his 10th birthday, finds a discarded bottle of vodka in the boarded up burger shack and drinks enough to pass out.

The book starts out a little slow, the story is sort of disjointed, but once the story gets going however the suspense builds and you start to get into it. I was dissapointed in how the story ended. It really made no sense to me, it was a quick read (listen) and it left me wanting to know more. In some cases that could be considered a good thing in this case, I don't feel like it is.

I enjoy David's writing, and this book gave me a history of the camel club, and the character dynamics. Thought I had the book totally figured out and I didn't. That alone is why I gave this story four stars. The insite into Oliver Stone's back story was excellent. Great character develop, great story line. Excellent book! read it, you won't be disappointed .

Why we think it’s a great listen: How do you one-up a book that’s already a global literary phenomenon? Hire Simon Vance to (flawlessly) interpret the loves, lives, and murders of Sweden’s cold and secret-filled world. A spellbinding amalgam of murder mystery, family saga, love story, and financial intrigue. It's about the disappearance 40 years ago of Harriet Vanger, a young scion of one of the wealthiest families in Sweden.

Initially I didn't like the reader, but asi got into the story I got over the readers voice and became ingrosed in the story and characters so much his voice no longer mattered. The story kept me interested, I figured it just as they were getting to the lady in the window. I would recomend this book, but the ending was dumb. I am going to get the second book in the triology in hopes it picks up where the first book ends.
