"OMG....I loved this dramatization!"
I had seen the movie years ago in black and white. So when I saw that this was a dramatization of the book I wanted to get it. It did not disappoint. I was glued to my seat. I didn't want to stop listening to it. I just really enjoyed this book. You get so into it and it makes you think about how we judge one another based really on nothing really at all but; impressions, stereotypes, life experience with someone similar but rarely on fact. This was excellent it, listen to it and then share it.!!!
"Great read"
Holds your interest and keeps you on the edge. Not overly obvious in the with the end holds you right on the edge of your seat. Makes you wish the story could continue.
"DISSAPOINTING and BORING"
I couldn't have been more board, than if she sat in a book store and read it aloud.
So very very boring, wish I could get a refund.
"Suspensful..but once again the story ended oddly"
The book starts out a little slow, the story is sort of disjointed, but once the story gets going however the suspense builds and you start to get into it. I was dissapointed in how the story ended. It really made no sense to me, it was a quick read (listen) and it left me wanting to know more. In some cases that could be considered a good thing in this case, I don't feel like it is.
"Great book, very suspensul."
I enjoy David's writing, and this book gave me a history of the camel club, and the character dynamics. Thought I had the book totally figured out and I didn't. That alone is why I gave this story four stars. The insite into Oliver Stone's back story was excellent. Great character develop, great story line. Excellent book! read it, you won't be disappointed .
"Good Read.....will hold your interest."
THE story is good, the character development was fair, he gave some what of an explanation as to who they were and the relationships. He held my interest, and it was easy for me to visualize, the characters from the TVs show into the rolls is each character.
"Good story hard to listen to."
Having seen the movie years before I read the book, I was excepting it to be similar. It was not and the person reading was boring. I didn't enjoy his style
at all. Even though there was more than one reader I wanted to story to end.
"Good read"
Initially I didn't like the reader, but asi got into the story I got over the readers voice and became ingrosed in the story and characters so much his voice no longer mattered. The story kept me interested, I figured it just as they were getting to the lady in the window. I would recomend this book, but the ending was dumb. I am going to get the second book in the triology in hopes it picks up where the first book ends.
"A Waste of time!"
I couldn't stand to hear it, or finish it! It is the worst book ever. It is a waste of a credit! I wish I could get my credit back. That is how bad this book is.
"Best Cross book Yet!"
I really liked it! The story was really good, it kept me on pins and needles. It made me really want the story to never end.
