"Fast, light, detective story"
This was a quick read that kept a good pace. The dogs added funny moments, but this was not a "dog" story. It is a murder mystery, "who-done-it", that has enough characters to keep you guessing but not so many that you can't remember who people are. It is light on the gore, violence and romance and heavy on the problem solving and clues.
If you are looking for a simple and enjoyable read, give it a try, it is worth the credits!
"Aweful!"
Not only is the story completely unbelievable, the narrator bored me to tears. Nothing good to say about it.
"Scent of Magic"
This is the second book of a trilogy. The story picks up pace in this book as you are kept guessing as to who is good or evil. The conflict of who will rule the land from the fist book, becomes even more tangled with addition of more contenders. The main character continues her struggle to preserve life and goodness during a time when people find it easier to stray to unsavory ways. The plot is exciting and unpredictable. Hard to put this one down.
"Touch of Power"
This is the first in a really great trilogy. The narrator did a great job, and the story kept a really good pace. The plot is about a struggle between powerful people (and former schoolmates) for leadership and rule of a land. The main character, who has been personally effected by decisions made by those powerful people, has the difficult task of understanding why good people do bad things as she tries to "pick sides". The twists and turns make it hard to put down. There is nothing predictable about this story line.
"Fantastic Read!"
I stumbled upon this as a well kept secret in the children's lit section. Let it be a secret no more!!! It was a fantastic book! The second book is due out May 1.
It is described as a
"Love Molly Haper!"
I love this author! This was another laugh out loud chick lit which is light on the love scenes but heavy on the sarcasm! The hysterical, yet predictable,
"Traveling Pants at 30"
It was good to catch up with the girls of the traveling pants now approaching their 30th birthday. I could not put the book down, but it is a real tear jerk-er. From beginning to end, there was sadness but with a heart warming undertone. Not the type of story I enjoy reading, but for these girls, I did.
"As cute as the first book in the series"
The Art of Seducing A Naked Werewolf is the second book of a series. It was cute, fast, and witty. The perfect book for me! Loved it.
"Not my kind of book"
For a 7 hour book, it went on forever. I could never really get into it and had no problem putting it down.
"Couldn't finish it"
Not sure if it was the narrator or the story, but just could not finish this one.
"Laughable southern wit"
It is a great chick-lit short story. It kept me laughing from beginning to end and it lacked the silly drama that some chick-lit has. Then ending seemed abrupt but it did not take away from the story.
