A fabulous lost Amazon city once inhabited by women warriors and containing a rare red diamond: it sounded like myth, but archeologist Jillian Sherwood believed it was real, and she was willing to put up with anything to find it - even Ben Lewis. Ruffian, knock-about, and number one river guide in Brazil, Ben was all man - over six feet of rock-hard muscles that rippled under his khakis, with lazy blue eyes that taunted her from his tanned face.

Honestly the narrator's voice was so distracting that I couldn't get through the book. The lead male character sounded like whiny teenager and I found myself completely unable to get into the story. Bummer since I just finished listening to After the Night by Linda Howard before this. I loved that book and was hoping for another L.Howard "can't put down" audible listen.

Where does Tamed rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's a very solid "romantic comedy" listen. This book is as good as the first in the series. I loved book 1 tangled but was disappointed by the follow up story. Because book 2 was a bit of a bore I didn't plan on downloading book 3, but a friend told me it was more similar to book 1. I am so glad I did download tamed - this is a very entertaining read. Emma Chase really finds her stride using the male POV. It's humerous, smart and fun. I hope she puts more male POV stories out there, cause I for one am a fan.

When reserved flight attendant Bianca gets one look at billionaire hotel owner James Cavendish, she loses all of her hard-won composure. For a girl who can easily juggle a tray of champagne flutes at 35,000 feet in three inch heels, she finds herself shockingly weak-kneed from their first encounter. The normally unruffled Bianca can't seem to look away from his electrifying turquoise gaze. What made the experience of listening to In Flight the most enjoyable?

The narrator was great and the story was absorbing! Hot unassuming flight attendant, Sexy "over the moon" billionaire, lots of air travel and regular orgasims.......what's wrong with that? Nothing!

What was one of the most memorable moments of In Flight?

The first sexual encounters were super hot!

    Any additional comments?

I just finished the trilogy and book1&2 were great! Book 3 was a lot more of the same old and I got bored. But hell, if you are going to invest time on the first two, ya kinda have to just go for it!

He was a man who didn’t deserve a second chance... but he needed one. Emily and her husband, Sandy Portman, seemed to live a gracious if busy life in an old-world, Upper West Side apartment in the famous Dakota building. But one night on the way to meet Emily, Sandy dies in a tragic accident. The funeral isn't even over before Emily learns she is on the verge of being evicted from their apartment. But worse than the possibility of losing her home, Emily is stunned when she discovers that her marriage was made up of lies.

What did you love best about Emily and Einstein?

I found lots to like about this audiobook. It was pretty funny and the narration was great. The best bits are when Sandy has to come to terms with being a dog and live life as a dog, and well do those things that dogs do. That was probably the best part of the story and when I laughed the most.

As the story unfolds you are told that Sandy was totally privileged and never really had to work hard at anything. He did fall hard for Emily in the beginning because she was a challenge but didn't appreciate her once married. So - when he suddenly passes and he comes back as a dog, most literally and figuratively he has to figure out how to make things right with Emily. And if it wasn't challenging enough being a man, imagine him trying to make it right as a dog. This self discovery bit while funny also got tiring because Sandy and Emily's relationship was never really explored and so I didn't get why he didn't like her. I didn't know where the breakdown happened in their relationship. You just get to hear that he was sick of her and didn't care for her without any real background It was a bit of a disconnect for me. It's as if the story had originally been longer and more developed and at the end was edited so severely to leave out some major key points.

But besides THAT, really enjoyed this book and still recommend.

If you could take any character from Emily and Einstein out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I'd bring Einstein to my house and feed him in a heartbeat.

Everyone needs to be rescued sometimes. Everyone but Hannah Montgomery, that is. She just needs a vacation. Three weeks in New Zealand to sort out her life, figure out what she wants, seems just right. Oh, and to relax. She should definitely put that on the agenda. She certainly isn't looking for a fling with a professional rugby player, no matter how attractive he is. Hannah doesn't do casual. But maybe just this once.…

What did you love best about Just This Once?

This was such a nice surprise - this was an engaging, sexy listen. I loved the story and found Hannah and Drew's budding relationship come to life under the backdrop of New Zealand. The author spent lots of time taking the reader "there" and I so appreciate that. I want to escape when listening to this genre and this story did it for me. Plus the narration was 5 stars awesome!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Drew was pretty sexy! Hannah's trust issues got old and she sounded like a broken record but as with any worthy "feel good" book, in the end they worked it all out.

What about Claire Bocking’s performance did you like?

So good. 5 stars! The New Zealand male accents are hot!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just thoroughly enjoyed this one as well as book 2. Both are so entertaining.

    Any additional comments?

If you like travel, romance, adventure, sexy sex scenes and pretty awesome NZ accents- here ya go. You've been served!

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this. Evelyn Thomas' plans for celebrating her 21st birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Yes because the narration was great. This was one hot listen!

What other book might you compare Lick to and why?

A lighter "erotic" version of backstage pass.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Eve and David connect in Monterrey. I loved this book- it had great romantic moments, great dialogue, witty banter, and sizzle!

    Any additional comments?

Ready to read anything by Kylie Scott! I have now listened to this audio 2 times- it's that good! Don't start this book at night, cause if you do - I guarantee that you will not sleep.

Yes definitely. I did enjoy this book even if it was lacking a little in story. It felt incomplete and at times disjointed but it was still interesting and fun. I enjoyed the characters, the horny ghost, the creepy house and the romance. I give it 3.5.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have liked to learn more about Hugh, the horny ghost and more history about the house.

O is a young, beautiful fashion photographer in Paris. One day her lover, René, takes her to a château, where she is enslaved, with René's approval, and systematically sexually assaulted by various other men. Later, René turns O over to Sir Stephen, an English friend who intensifies the brutality. But the final humiliation is yet to come.

Would you listen to Story of O again? Why?

Not sure if i would listen to it again but I am glad that I finally gave this audio a go. It's intense, disturbing, sad, and seductive.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't know if I liked any of the characters. I found Jacqueline's character to be very interesting because she was so different from O. She was not so willing to bend and while O called her selfish, Jacqueline had a sense for self preservation. "O" had zero inkling to save her self and truly and literally was a submissive.

What does Käthe Mazur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was perfect. She read each word slowly and deliberately. I got sucked in and thought that Kathe Mazur's voice cut through the tragedy and lulled you into "O's" tale. It was a very hypnotic listen.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes it was intense and spellbinding. It was a psychological journey and makes all the FSOG books look so trite because this story is the real deal. Don't get me wrong, I read FSOG and it's light and fluffy and shinny. The Story of O doesn't do a damn thing to make you feel good or try to entertain you. It has a strange voyeuristic feel - you are watching or reading something that you shouldn't and what is happening behind closed doors isn't really meant for you, yet you can't stop listening or watching. It has that quality to it.

    Any additional comments?

The last scene where O is displayed for all to see as nothing more than Sir Stephen's object, his toy, his person was so tragic. She allowed all this and became nothing more than an owl, an object; a thing to be used in any which way for love. She gave everything away and had nothing left to give. I finished this book about 5 days ago and still can't get the images out of mind. It's a powerful read and I think it's worth the listen.

Doug Parker is a widower at age 29, and in his quiet suburban town, that makes him something of a celebrity - the object of sympathy, curiosity, and, in some cases, unbridled desire. But Doug has other things on his mind. First there's his 16-year-old stepson, Russ - a once-sweet kid who now is getting into increasingly serious trouble on a daily basis. And then there are Doug's sisters.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yea, I really liked this listen. At only 26 Doug has fallen hard for Hailey only to become a widower a few years later. At 29 he is a step father, well sort of; he is terribly depressed and drunk all the time. He is consumed by grief and unable to cope with being responsible for himself let alone another person. Now this should make for just a sad, sad, tale but Jonathan Tropper has a brilliant way of making you laugh and pulling you in because there is more to Doug than just grief. He has a lovable family with big personalities; a stoner stepson that is so broken and sweet and just missing his mom; and Hailey's ex whom, well, he doesn't have many redeeming characterists. And there is Doug and his "total" journey which includes everything from sadness, laugh out loud moments to my favorite- going down memory lane and getting to know Hailey a bit. The book also definitely had some great tips about what NOT to ask someone going thru grief.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Talk to a Widower?

When he's caught in bed, drunk in his tighty whiteys, with a bottle between his legs and a picture of his date on his chest. Oh did I mention that this was at his blind date's house? I cringed for him, then laughed!!

What does Eric Ruben bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Great voice!

Awesome listen and not a waste of time or credit!

Where does Me Before You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 5! I really fell in love with this audiobook. While the story deals with a very serious topic the writing was its opposite; it was so light, comical and warm. Because of that, there were times I forgot about Will's affliction and intention. It was such a sweet, tragic, and heart warming story about love and acceptance, even if that means accepting an outcome you don't want. This is a strong story with strong character development and it just pulls at your heartstrings and it totally and completed sucked me in.

What did you like best about this story?

My favorite part of this story is the honest friendship that develops between Will and Lou. It felt authentic and I loved how they slowly broke down barriers and bared their souls - for me that's the making of a real love story.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Oh the narration was great. This whole audio was 5+ stars. If I could rate it higher I would.

Who was the most memorable character of Me Before You and why?

The love that develops between Will and Lou was.....heartwretchingly wonderful! I loved that they gave each other so much. She gave him back his identity as a man and brought him joy and he gave her friendship, support and a future.
