Just as good as the first book. Definitely aimed at the "young adult" market but enjoyed it nonetheless.
I found this book to be a typical young adult book in the way it was written. Nothing wrong with that but you just need to be aware of that.
I enjoyed the book and started to enjoy it more and more as it progressed. The stage is set for book 2 in the series which I've already bough and look forward to listening to.
I'd recommend it this book to a friend - not my top recommendation but enjoyable nonetheless.
Really enjoyed the first book in the series but found this one to be disappointing.
Wow, loved this book. Because I got this book from audible for free, I wasn't expecting much, but was I mistaken. Action packed the whole way. Without a doubt if I were to nit pick I could find fault but the fact that I finished this book in 3 days says it all.
If you like modern day cloak and dagger / spy books get this - you won't be disappointed.
I found that it took a while for me to get into this but as it built and stories and characters developed I really got into it it. In fact, I finished the second half in two days. Will definitely get the next one in the series with so many characters to like.
It's well written but don't forget, it was published in 1820 so uses the language of the day where it takes a lot to say a little. Also the story is not quiet as I remember it. It's worth a listen if it's on special but not sure if I'd buy it otherwise.
I almost gave up after an hour or so of listening but pushed on. Glad I did. Found the plot a bit weak book but enjoyable nonetheless.
Not the type of book I normally listen to but bought it based on the number of excellent reviews it received. So glad I did, I couldn't stop reading it. Buy it, you won't be sorry.
I enjoyed it but I found it difficult for a long time to find a character to like. The book has a bit of a dark feel about it and definitely wouldn't call it uplifting.
Having said that, things do change and it's worth persisting with.Without giving away the ending of the first book, it ends in a way that the second book sounds as if things may be a bit brighter. I'll probably get the second book.
Excellent performance by Vic Bevine.
I enjoyed the book but found the dialogue often seemed awkward. For example, almost every sentence ended in "right". Overall, a good book and worth a credit.
Slow at times but an interesting story. The author knowledge of drones and military technology alone makes it worth reading.
