This era when the men ruled and women really had no place.
The night she slipped away and met him at his ship and the way they were happy to see each other
""a LOVE triangle""
Definitely one of best books I have heard in a while. This is a well written love triangle. I was apprehensive to purchase because the heroine was vilified by some many reviewers.
I loved that it took you to the core of what a love triangle must be like. The driving force….. Love & passion. I get why others saw Kiera as weak. The story is told from her point of view and could only be told by her as she is the conduit in the triangle.Kiera is naïve, innocent, insecure moves to across county with her first love Denny following his career.Denny is solid, strong and dependable and sorts of expects that of everyone. (he and Kiera never lived together before moving his choice) Kellen is wild, passionate and warm, best friends with Denny and the couple’s roommate. Kellen falls for Kiera. The triangle begins How do you choose between two people you love? I felt this novel excellently portrayed a love triangle. She loved both of them & was afraid to lose either of them. Either choice would have crushed her and not the guy not chosenWhile listening I had a range of emotions, but in the end this is what keep on repeat in my head.… “this must what it feels like to be in love in a love triangle”
The night in the car.. love, hurt, passion, pain, longing can explode into madness
Yes and No. This high on the angst list… there are times I had to stop. There is a roller coaster of emotions in this book from the high high to the low low with lots of stupidly in between. The kind of stupidity that comes with being madly in love. ( if you have been madly in love you know what I mean)
Love triangle = 1 person in love with 2 persons at the same time and acting upon it.While it is cheating, the complexity of the triangle is the element of collaboration & concealment between the 2 of 3 people involved in an effort to avoid hurting the 3rd
I have mentioned the phase ; love triagle many times. This is to really make a point,..this is what this book is about.
"Great Read"
Once again a great story, but more to come. . I am fed up with series and trilogies.
"Great start to a great story"
I enjoyed the story, but was unaware it was not a complete novel. I was frustrated after reaching the end only to find out there is more to come. I just about fed up with series and trilogies.
"Slow, ... Is it the end yet?"
A faster paced book, the story repeated over and over in the same book...
9 hours of repeat, the story was only 2 hours......
She is has one of the best voices for Historical/ Regency romances.
9 hours of repeat
I am not sure I want to attempt any more of her books, her writing style was not for me. However some other readers may love her style of writing. Mine opinion is just that. My opinion
"Steamy Historical Romance"
I would enjoy the book as much I enjoyed the audio version.
Audio and Printed books have a role. If I enjoyed the Audio, I am sure I would enjoy the book.
It is rather the opposite that occurs. I enjoy the printed book and struggled with the narration of Audio books sometimes. NOT IN THS CASE. The narration was excellent
"Three great authors and Narrator :)"
Funny lighthearted Romances
I loved that they were so many characters and smaller stories within the main stories
I just love her narrations. her ability to use male and female voices.
"Sweet BDSM love story"
I love that the characters were older
I liked them all
The first night
If you want a softer and sweeter BDSM story that is still a BDSM then this book is for you
"I loved reading it"
I rarely re-read books. There are too many books out there, I read and listen to books. I have no time to re- read
I loved that Jeanette learned and recognized who she was and what she wanted. Well done to the author who had to make us like like her after book 1
I did, I think she did a great job
I did laugh at her first dinner attempt
