"Loved it"
McCall Smith and Ma Ramotswe are as entertaining as ever. Listened to it in one sitting as I did other non taxing tasks.
"Can't wait for book 2"
The book is well written and read. The story captivated me from the beginning and I couldn't wait to know what would happen next. Really worth getting
"engrossing"
Throughly enjoyed the listen. The story captures and holds your attention and the narrator was great. Am jumping straight into All Clear.
"Not a complete unit"
Good book but the story ends in the middle. Each book should be complete in itself. If its going to be divided into parts then it should be clearly stated on the cover - part 1.I have always loved Robin Hobb. The Assasin series and the Mad Ship series kept me spell bound. She has not disappointed me with this book.
"PG needed think"
It took me a while to get into the story but once there I was captivated. The personalities of the cats were well developed and entirely believable. I too didn't realise it was a children's book when I bought it but there were aspects of the story and concepts that would take a bit of maturity to understand. This is especially true of the ending.
"Did not captivate"
I love Jodi Picoult's work usually. The book is good and well researched but did not capture me completely like Perfect Match or My Sister's Keeper. The characters were not endearing to me and I thought the sub plot more interesting than the main one. I usually find that I can't put down a Jodi Picould, not this one though.
"A good listen"
The author certainly held my attention. The story moved forward well keeping me in suspence and anticipation. The narrators were excellant. I have to admit that I guessed who the culprit was well before the end but I enjoyed the story.
"Never finished it"
I loved the People of the Book so I thought this would be good but it is a tedious listen. Geraldin Brooks should never have been the narator. I found the voice rather annoying and never finished the book.
"It drags"
Tedious to listen to. It took me forever to get through.
"a joy to listen to"
Highly entertaining. Funny and so very well read
