Story was die hard Sci Fi Fantasy lovers only! So hard to keep listening with the multi-faceted story line and somewhat monotone narrator. I like to get lost in a book and not have to analyze and think extra hard. Therefore if you enjoy a challenge and like to think intricately then this book is for you.
Yes. More so from the author than the type. I like more simplistic sci-fi fantasy books where I don't have to think so hard.
Yes with different author.
One positive attribute about this book is the language. Often I find authors put in swear words when really unnecessary. This book had no foul language and I found that refreshing.
While the story line was decent the female narrator was whiney and quite frankly ruined the story for me. I was significantly hard for me to get passed her voice enough to enjoy the story.
The audio edition is better than the print version because of the narrator's accent and performance. The English accent helps to propel you back into time and gain a fuller experience of the book.
Ask for it is a unique hybrid between Pride and Prejudice and 50 Shades of Grey. It takes all that we love about Pride and Prejudice and 50 shades of grey and intertwines them into a romantic mystery. It effectively combines Mr. Darcy and Christian Grey into Marcus and Elizabeth Bennett and Anastasia Steele into Lady Hawthorne, also Elizabeth. Ask for It takes the leap we all wished for in Pride and Prejudice which makes it that much more stunning.
Justine Eyre brings to the book her accent which you would not be able to experience in just reading the book. It takes you back in time so you can actually feel the characters.
The book had several great moments and was the ultimate search for oneself and the love that once was.
The story line and mystery of it all
The scene with his brother where he confronts him.
I would recommend this book - I couldn't stop listening.
There is nothing quite like it. The story twists and turns and keeps you guessing at every moment.
Kristen is great at bringing each of the characters alive an making them unique
Several moments moved me however the teacher and her love for the children was remarkable.
I like Sci Fi to an extent but this was not for me. Those that like sci fi thriller type might enjoy it. It just kept dragging on and I finally stopped listening
Possibly depending on the reviews
My favorite scene was when they opened the door to a specific apartment and the events that transpired afterwards. (I don't want to spoil it for those who have yet to read it)
Several. It went to slow for me even at 1.5 speed.
The narrator was one of the best I have ever heard. His ability to utilize different voices was exceptional and really gave each character their own voice. The narrator is what kept me listening for as long as I did.
always wondering who did it
J Brooks entering the story
she is able to bring the characters to life
Yes but I can't give it up.
when Thor came back
the end but I don't want to give it away
One of the better books
Yes as it brings you into their world
the blowing up of the club; the spider part was a little freaky
Yes this one seems to bring you in deeper to the story line
Yes I laughed and cried but mostly it was intense always wanting to hear the next chapter
My favorite book so far!
the twist of vampires with romance
the combination of the vampire theories with the twist on the romance
Beth - typically I have a difficult time with men performing female voices. It is much easier for me to accept females performing male voices. In this case Jim did an exceptional job.
Great book but exceptionally descriptive in the romance side therefore could potentially not be for everyone. Definatley adult content only. I would not want my teenage daughter reading this which in turn makes it good for me!
