For me this book was X-Men meets Memento. The story was unfolding before me while the past was also being filled in behind me.
Since our Myfawny Thomas has no memory her character is revealed to us and to her simultaneously. With just enough laugh out loud moments to balance the incredible "who done it" suspense. I just love her tenacious spirit and honest wit!
Susan brought Myfawny to life right next to me. I would actually speak to her and felt as though the author was writing her response that very moment. I've listened to and read the book as well. It was Susan's voice I heard in my head while reading. I missed Myfawny the moment I closed the back cover and ejected the final CD.
I was so worried for and excited by Myfawny running into her sister. I was also quite upset when Myfawny was in "the fleshy cube" and was slipping away from us.
Please write for us again soon Daniel O'Malley.....there is a renegade Bishop on the loose that can't be trusted!
