This incredible story shows how John Douglas tracked and participated in the hunt for one of the most notorious serial killers in U.S. history. For 31 years a man who called himself BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill) terrorized the city of Wichita, Kansas, sexually assaulting and strangling a series of women, taunting the police with frequent communications, and bragging about his crimes to local newspapers and TV stations.

This book is very disturbing. I bite off more then I could chew when I decided to listen this. It gave me nightmares to think that someone could be this sick in the head. As for the narrator, He is the worse I've ever heard. He actually made the story boring. I had to put it down several times because I was so bored with the way Jason Klav seemed to run one boring sentence into the next. I will not ever listen to a book Jason Klav narrates again.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

America's favorite bounty hunter is back behind the wheel in her fifth hilarious, high-octane thriller. Out of bail skippers and rent money, Stephanie Plum strikes out on her own. Okay, so a scumball blows himself to bits on her first day of policing a crack house, and the sheik she was chauffeuring steals the limo. But hey, nobody's perfect.

I love these novels, however I just couldn't get past the narrator. I gave it a half-hour hoping she would get better, but sadly that wasn't the case. Not only did she run sentences together, she mispronounced names and used virtually the same tone for each character. It was entirely too distracting. I moved onto something else... a waste of a precious credit!

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

If you could sum up The Help in three words, what would they be?

    Excellent, entertaining and enthralling

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Hilly found her front yard covered with toilets of all shapes and sizes.

Who was the most memorable character of The Help and why?

Aibileen was one of the most memorable, she seemed so wise and yet sad. This character just came across as someone you would want to know in real life.

    Any additional comments?

This book is excellent. So well narrated that all the characters just spring to life. It was so much fun to listen to that I all most did it one sitting. I highly recommend this book to anyone, and I will be listening to it again.

You’ve lost your job as a department store lingerie buyer, your car’s been repossessed, and most of your furniture and small appliances have been sold off to pay last month’s rent. Now the rent is due again. And you live in New Jersey. What do you do? If you’re Stephanie Plum, you become a bounty hunter. But not just a nickel-and-dime bounty hunter; you go after the big money. That means a cop gone bad. And not just any cop. She goes after Joe Morelli, a disgraced former vice cop who is also the man that took her virginity....

These books are so fun and entertaining to listen to, I love them. I am listening to the complete series. I laugh out loud at the characters and the things that they say and do. I also enjoy listening to C.J. Critt, I wish she narrated all of them, I think she does an excellent job.
