What about Carolyn McCormick’s performance did you like?

Ms. Mccormick does a great job reading and conveying the emotions of the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The story made me laugh and cry, anxious and happy. A full range of emotions.

    Any additional comments?

The Women's Murder Club series of books is great! I've only got two more to go and have #12 on my wish list. Can't wait until it's out!!! I feel as if I know the characters personally. Great job Mr. Patterson! Thanks for the great listen.

Daughter of a cold, controlling mother and an anonymous donor, studious, obedient Elizabeth finally let loose one night, drinking too much at a nightclub and allowing a strange man’s seductive Russian accent to lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she works at home designing sophisticated security systems.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this audiobook highly. I drove slower just so I could listen longer. The story kept my attention from the beginning and the narration was superb.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Brooks was my favorite. Quiet, true, smart and thoughtful. But...each character was special.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to any of Julia Whelan's other narrations, but I will look for her now. It's doubtful that I have heard anyone as dynamic as her. She really made the characters come to life.
