What did you love best about Platform?

It moved along great and Micheal is a great reader. Clear and articulate made it easy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I had to break it up in order to stay engaged. While the reading of it was great and it moved along great, the information was tedious and became just a lot of information. I would have to stop and give myself a break to be engaged again.

    Any additional comments?

The information was good, but not real informative. It was however a great refresher and motivator to get back to doing things that you've let slip.

I probably will listen to it again. Not that it was such a great book, it was a good book but it contained some good insights into behavior.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Get Off Your 'But'?

I'm not sure I could pinpoint one memorable moment. This book was excellent, especially when you know who the author is. I had never heard of this author, but after about the first chapter I Googled him to find out more which then made this book even more powerful. There were several stories, events, and conditions the cause me to think this is one of the best books I've listened to.

What did you learn from Get Off Your 'But' that you would use in your daily life?

Something I knew, but put a powerful kick behind. The only thing that holds us back is our excuses!

    Any additional comments?

    I highly recommend this book.

Napoleon Hill was an American author who is widely considered to be one of the greatest writers on success. His works examined the power of personal beliefs, and the role they play in personal success. He became an advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933-36. "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve" is one of Hill's hallmark expressions.

If you could sum up The Teachings of Napoleon Hill: The Law of Success, The Lost Prosperity Secrets of Napoleon Hill, The Magic Ladder to Success in three words, what would they be?

Detailed and intense would be the three words that I would use. This is not a one time listen to type audio book, but at the same time it is very long. I would recommend taking a section at a time and listening to it until you get it.

Meditations is former U.S. President Bill Clinton's favorite book. This audio consists of a series of personal writings by Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor 161-180 AD, setting forth his ideas on Stoic philosophy.

What would have made Meditations of Marcus Aurelius better?

This is very slow going bouncing from one thought to another. If it wasn't for the fact that I enjoy hearing how others think I would have abandoned this book. I can only listen to it a small bit at a time as I find myself thinking of something else.

Would you ever listen to anything by Marcus Aurelius again?

    Probably not

What didn’t you like about Alan Munro’s performance?

It lacked any motivation or excitement at all

In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

Listen to this book and send your nonverbal intelligence soaring. Joe Navarro, a former FBI counterintelligence officer and a recognized expert on nonverbal behavior, explains how to "speed-read" people: decode sentiments and behaviors, avoid hidden pitfalls, and look for deceptive behaviors. You'll also learn how your body language can influence what your boss, family, friends, and strangers think of you.

Would you listen to What Every BODY Is Saying again? Why?

The information is good, but I found myself wondering if his science was good. He is obviously a person who believes strongly in the theory evolution and when he tries to use this theory to support the science of body language it lessens the credibility since evolution has so many holes in its theory. For me it was annoying and distracting.
