Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

There wasn't much of a story. I believe the bells inconsistent volumes made it difficult to relax sufficiently to attain a deep sleep. I lucid dream every night, all night, and as you might imagine, get little sleep. I had hoped the bells would improve my experience, instead I believe they actually hindered me.

Has Lucid Dreaming Dream Walking Subliminal turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not from Lucid Dreaming. From the bells, possibly.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Again, the inconsistent volume level were distracting. Loud, sharp noises are not conducive to restful sleep. Sounds should be soft like clouds, marshmallows or maybe pillows. The bells produced sounds like a doorbell, which leads one to get up and answer the door. Being led through a dream scape may have been helpful.

Did Lucid Dreaming Dream Walking Subliminal inspire you to do anything?

    look for another audio book.

    Any additional comments?

Tradition states that the dream state lasts only for a few brief moments at the end of the sleep state during REMs. I have noted quite different results. If I sleep. I dream, whether it's for 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or 15, if I've been asleep I've been dreaming. And it's been a dream where I've been in control if I've wanted it. Most of the time, I just watch to see what will happen like a movie. Sometimes I direct if things get boring.

In a time long forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons off balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. Not until a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.

Or maybe, when you’ve got the time and energy, you either waste time and then wonder where the day went… or you face a blank page, unable to type “anything decent.”

What made the experience of listening to Write Every Day the most enjoyable?

I mostly enjoyed the author's enthusiasm and lighthearted delivery. The text moved along quickly enough to not be boring.

Would you be willing to try another book from Cathy Yardley? Why or why not?

Sure, I would listen to more of Cathy's writing. She uses an everyday tone of voice that should relate well to most listeners.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My biggest takeaway was her suggestion that aspiring writers need to find other writers with roughly the same skill level and attitude as their own, and her reasons for doing so.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    n/a

    Any additional comments?

My suggestion for Cathy in response to this is to pen another title explaining exactly how to find like-skilled, like-minded writers.
