Good characters and some twists as the plot opens. Enjoyed the read. Lots of action and surprises true to Baldacci. The performance by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy make the characters come alive.
I loved all the diverse characters and how each life somehow was entangled with others. The narrator did a great job especially with Pascal. I loved being transported to Italy and all the complexity. At first, I wasn't sure I'd selected well but as the story weaves through time and place I could not push stop.
I might if other titles have such good character building.
I was very disappointed in the ending. Did they make it to the bunker? Were the paintings still there? Did Pat stay in Idaho? Much was answered but too many things remain.
What a wonderful find! Michael Sullivan keeps the reader engaged with interesting characters and complicated story lines. I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series. I'm adding this author to my list of favorites.
This was an extremely good story of a different time and place.
Did not disappoint, some really bad people wreck havoc in rural community. Very suspenseful. Look forward to another story.
Excellent characters and great puzzles to solve. The mixture of 80's trivia, movies, games and television references keep the reader wondering what's next and will I know of the next reference. I'll be watching this author! Loved it.
Great characters, great story, great read. I've read it twice and watched the HBO series. With the series I've started re-reading them all.
Lots of character building and surprises built in to the story and well done by the narrator. I could hardly wait to get back to listening each day. I've now read all three. The story and interactions of the characters and their lives pulls you in for more. Loved it!
New twist on behavior and motivation. I really liked the comparisons of Motivation 1.0 to the industrial age and Motivation 2.0 to the information age. He offers suggestions for where education needs to go that I believe are headed in the right directions. As an educator of 30 + years, I understand what he is trying to show the slowly changing world of education but realize that these changes will take a long time to occur. This is a good read and most informative while filled with humor and easy to understand.
Truly an exciting story with an incredible approach to writing a story. Each author worked from another's work and made the story connect, come together and find resolution. I'd like to read more about these characters.
