Makes you wonder if things like this really happen? Deja vu?
I listen while Ii work so I was always waiting to get back to them. It was one of those books where you worry about the characters and miss them when it's over.
It was good. I've heard better but still enjoyable.
This is a great listen! Just when I thought I had it all figured out....I was wrong.
It's all memorable! From someone who was in a similiar situation....I only wish I had had the wit, wisdom and suport that Lacy had. It's funny becuase it's true.
Just enough edge to her voice to make her brilliant and enough softness to make the listener think that she has been through this herself.
I love this author. I have readand listened to lots of her books. I haven't listened to them in ordered of date published but it hasn't mattered. It's interesing to hear about characters iin the earlier books and learn how/why they've evolved as they have!
I have actually gone to the internet while reading/listening to a Scarpetta novel and looking things! I've learned lots!
I listen while I work Good listen!
It was all good!
No. Took a few sessions. I listen mainly at work. My work is mudane. Listening to books helps to time pass.
I've just recently discovered Robyn Carr! She has great incite into what people need and want to know about how other people think and feel.
Preacher!! So many people view themselves as Preacher view himself! Just goes to show!
I laughed and cried.
Normally I enjoy Macomber. I listen to books while at work and find her books relaxing and entertaining. I especially love the characters in this series. They feel familiar, almost like family. But like family they are becoming predictable.
Possibly. It's ALWAYS love, lose, love again even better than the first time. Does that really happen?
I thought Joyce Beans performance was good. It's made it curious as to how these books are done. Does the reader do all the characters at was and then the editor put them together? The character voices are always spot on. You know...John always sounds like John and Grandma always sounds like Grandma.
I'm sure this book was good it's just not something I would normally listen to. It was my first Alex Cross experience. My sister loved the book so I thought I would give it a listen. I think maybe the subject of terrorism is still a bit difficult for me. I didn't finish the book, which for me is unusual, but I may at some point.
The characters were very distinct and imaginable as real people. I thought the performances were good.
Good story line but very predictable...man meets woman....man dislikes woman.....woman need favor...man loves woman....woman tricks man....you get the idea.
Not so much
Good tone and feeling in his voice. Good accent for Irish character.
Passed the time while I was doing mor mundane things.
Gripping, moving, educational
There are so many moments in this book that I bookmarked that I decided to listen to it again. I believe the point where Solly takes the defense of his mother into his own hands will be remembered for quite a while
Also, when the author was speaking of the destruction of the cattle I was lead to read more about that. It was a true action taken by the government. I was amazed by that.
When they discovered the Solly was processing thoughts! Uplifting!
The name is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about this book.
I have read and listened to thousands of books. Rainwater is most definitely in my top 15.
