For each word of actual story there are twenty words of aimless description, useless background lecture, and pointless dreary dialog, and all to follow the adventures of two of the most moronic ninnies since Beavis and Butthead. And you can't even use it to address that short leg on the table! Life is too short to waste it listening to this offering.
The author really needed an editor. I can't tell you how many times I thought how boring, when will it come to an end.
Please spent your time writing the Inspector Ian Rutledge novels. They have heart and a good mystery. Bees Crawford is just plain boring
made a joke out of the police, too political. I wished they had spent more time with the police in a serious mode.
Ms Chesney has created a very cozy universe. Loved listening to the series, a must read
Read "the bad seed". Or "the hangmans son" If you really want to experience a psycho
really enjoyed the story and setting. Jane Gardam has a gift of taking you back in time to the 30s and bringing you back to the present.
I enjoyed every minute of the book. more more more more more more more more
I love this story, and had to grit my teeth when the narrator read for Abby. She made her sound like an old lady.
What a shame.
I am so disappointed The Grand Sophy was released abridged. Please Please released the unabridged version.
I loved it. It is shame the author isn't continuing the story line. I hope she changes her mind.
