Bradbury's Mars is a place of hope, dreams, and metaphor - of crystal pillars and fossil seas - where a fine dust settles on the great empty cities of a silently destroyed civilization. It is here the invaders have come to despoil and commercialize, to grow and to learn - first a trickle, then a torrent, rushing from a world with no future toward a promise of tomorrow.

    Story

This book was written to be like a series of day in the life stories. Many of them are very common but there are some very funny surprises. You need to listen the whole thing to get a real feel, but the stories are great even though the science and some of the ideas are a bit dated.

The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

The zombies have come and now you have the after math. The story is so good I have played it for people at they want to hear it again. I have listen to it 5 times. Didn't think it would be all that great but the performances allowed the scares to come through and take a chunk out of you.
