Jeannette Walls's memoir The Glass Castle was "nothing short of spectacular" (Entertainment Weekly). Now, in Half Broke Horses, she brings us the story of her grandmother, told in a first-person voice that is authentic, irresistible, and triumphant.

Kathryn says: "A BETTER BOOK THAN "THE GLASS CASTLE""
    "Great!"
    Overall

I couldn't stop listening. Loved the story over a woman's whole interesting life. Also like that it was the mother of the crazy mom in Glass Castles. Liked hearing some of her childhood also.

After desperate vampires, werewolves, and witches across the country begin calling in to share their woes, her new show is a raging success.

    S. Droski says: "Pleasant Surprise!"
    "OK listen"
    Overall

This was an ok listen but not as good a character as some others in the genre such as Racheal Morgan or Anita Blake.

The child of a scheming father and ruthless mother, Lady Jane Grey is born during a time when ambition dictates action. Cousin to Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I, she is merely a pawn in a political and religious game in which one false step means a certain demise. But Lady Jane has remarkable qualities that help her to withstand the constant pressures of the royal machinery far better than most expect.

    Jt says: "Superior listen!"
    "Great! Couldn't stop listening!"
    Overall

At first the switching around to different points of view annoyed me but I got really into it. This was one of those books you listen to constantly because it's so riveting.

Best-selling author Alison Weir turns her masterly storytelling skills to the early life of young Elizabeth Tudor, who would grow up to become England's most intriguing and powerful queen. Sweeping in scope, The Lady Elizabeth is a fascinating portrayal of a woman far ahead of her time - whose dangerous and dramatic path to the throne shapes her future greatness.

I liked this book but not as much as Innocent Traitor. That one I couldn't stop listening to!

Andrew "Ender" Wiggin was not the only child in the Battle School; he was just the best of the best. In this book, Card tells the story of another of those precocious generals, the one they called Bean, the one who became Ender's right hand, part of his team, in the final battle against the Buggers. Bean's past was a battle just to survive. His success brought him to the attention of the Battle School's recruiters.

    L. says: "Totally Card"
"Loved as much as Ender's Game"
    Overall

This was a GREAT book. I loved it as much as Ender's Game. I liked it so much I listened to all the rest of the Bean saga.
