Back in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., he was a blueblood named Waldo Smith-Jones. But when he found himself in a desperate effort to survive on a lost island of primitive men and beasts, he won not only a new name but also the hand of the cave princess, Nadara.

Edgar Rice Burroughs is not for everyone, but if you enjoyed the Tarzan, Mars, & Pellucidar books you'll enjoy this romp through the South Seas written in 1913. It's a reverse Tarzan tale that starts with a wimp washed up on a beach where his book knowledge will do him no good. From there it's an adventure on every page & of course there is a beautiful girl to rescue. Good old pulp fiction at it's best.

What happens when people with one common interest gather in monstrous, fluorescent-lit halls for the weekend? Sometimes they drive each other crazy, sometimes they fall in love. Convention worker. Andrea worked at a bakery under a convention hotel in Chicago. The conventioneers used to drive her crazy, because people act so different when they're in a crowd of their own kind.

When I first heard this show broadcast I was driving in my car. I got home 20 minutes before the show was over. I sat in my driveway glued to the radio. This show is a fantastic listen. Ira Glass & his crew are amazing
