  • Peter and the Sword of Mercy: The Starcatchers, Book 4

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 24 mins)
    • By Dave Barry, Ridley Pearson
    • Narrated By Jim Dale

The year is 1902 - it's been 23 years since Peter and the Lost Boys returned from Rundoon. Since then, nobody on the island has grown a day older, and the Lost Boys continue their friendship with the Mollusk tribe and their rivalry with Captain Hook. Meanwhile, in London, Molly has married George Darling and is raising three children: Wendy, Michael, and John. One night, a visitor appears at her door; it's James, one of Peter's original Lost Boys.

I am so excited about this new book. I thought after the last in the series the authors were done with it. I am in my 20s and still think this series is awesome. Jim Dale is the best narrator around. I was just looking through to see what he had narrated lately and came across this great book. I hope Mr. Barry and Pearson keep pumping these out. I for one will buy every one of them.

  • Outlander

    • UNABRIDGED (33 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Diana Gabaldon
    • Narrated By Davina Porter
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

"Could Not Wait to be Finished"

I was truly excited about this book at the start. I love historical fictions and SiFi so I thought it would be perfect. Much to my disappointment it was hardly more then a sex story. It seemed after the main character arrived in Scotland it was a dirty sex scene in every chapter. Further more I felt no connection to the characters. Despite the extensive character detail I found my self not really caring about the characters. It may help to know that it is part of a series. I was a little startled when I realized the book was over because it seemed so abrupt. I did not know it was the first in a series from the beginning and only found out after I read the book. However, I do not see my self reading the rest of the series when I contemplated not even finishing the first one. I truly wanted to like this book but found my self simply forgetting to listen or my mind wandering off while it was on. On the plus side the narrator is truly talented in this audio book. I enjoyed listening to her voice and the character voices she did were unique to each character. 5 Stars for the narration but I can only honestly give two stars for the book.
