Actor and wine expert Julian Curry has devised a unique audiobook guide to wine. The whole subject is introduced and explained – how wine is made, the different grapes, the different blends, vintages, wine-growing areas and types. In an entertaining and informal style, he also teaches how to taste wine, and how to choose and store it.

    Laurence says: "Comprehensive overview"
"TOO much Information for Audio Format"
    Overall

This book was a lot of fun to listen to, but there was way too much information for an audiobook. The charisma of the author is unbeatable and creates a fabulous energy for most listeners to be enthusiastic about. Although I did take up a few pointers and really enjoyed the book, there was WAY too much information to be absorbed and would probably benefit the audience as a physical reference book instead of an audio book.

If I had the hard copy of this book, I may give it 4.5-5 stars.

Paulo Coelho's enchanting novel has inspired a devoted following around the world. This story, dazzling in its simplicity and wisdom, is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of treasure buried in the Pyramids. Along the way he meets a Gypsy woman, a man who calls himself king, and an Alchemist, all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest.

  • What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception

Scott McClellan belonged to President Bush's select inner circle of trusted advisers during one of the most challenging, contentious periods of recent history. Over a period of more than seven years, he witnessed, day-to-day, exactly how the presidency veered off course, not only by its decision to topple Saddam Hussein, but by an embrace of confrontational politics in the face of an increasingly partisan Washington and a hostile media.

Frank J. Regan says: "Something is Missing"
    "A History Book"
    Overall

Although the author has a monotone, kind of draining voice, the content would not be as meaningful if read by anyone else.

McClellan clearly describes his experience in the White House, much of what the American People can relate to. He provides us with detailed personal experience, describing with great detail each main character in the Bush Administration and giving us a thorough understanding of what lead to one of the worst terms in the White House of all times.

Topics he discusses includes the Iraq War, the CIA leak scandal, the economy and he tends to criticize Bush for going with his intuition and gut feeling instead of thinking things through.

McClellan also talks about his childhood growing up in Politics. Overall, this is an extremely well-written book and I'll bet any listener will get sucked into the stories quite easily.

In this groundbreaking union of art and science, rocker-turned-neuroscientist Daniel J. Levitin explores the connection between music - its performance, its composition, how we listen to it, why we enjoy it - and the human brain. Levitin draws on the latest research and on musical examples ranging from Mozart to Duke Ellington to Van Halen.

Paul Mullen says: "Neuroscience for the right brain"
    "Not for a typical musician"
    Overall

This book contains too much basic music theory for those, like myself, who have studied it. Although the psychological studies of human mental processes in relation to music is quite intriguing.

As a young professional, I found this book to be very informative, filling my brain with basic knowledge of how to obtain assets, reduce liabilities and start the car to financial independence. This book has some wonderful anecdotes about the author's childhood and is easy to relate to.

I really enjoyed listening to it and highly recommend it for young investors and those who want to learn financial basics.
