What made the experience of listening to Evan Blessed the most enjoyable?

I enjoy most by Rhys Bowen; light without being too simple. The performance was nice also. I wish there were more of this series on audible.

an adolescent boy! Or have crushes on them! The girl is a weak victim, the boy is a controlling bully/ abuser and they hate each other but are fated to be together and they have CHEMISTRY so the sex is good.
I'm kinda sorry I bought this one. I usually like fantasy and this writer gets so many stars so I thought it was a sure bet.

Susan Elia MacNeal introduced the remarkable Maggie Hope in her acclaimed debut, Mr. Churchill's Secretary. Now Maggie returns to protect Britain's beloved royals against an international plot - one that could change the course of history. As World War II sweeps the continent and England steels itself against German attack, Maggie Hope, former secretary to Prime Minister Winston Churchill, completes her training to become a spy for MI-5.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I can't tell if this is a fun book or not because Susan Duerden completely ruined the story. She sounds like Robin Leach on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous." She deserves a special hell all her own for wrecking my day at work.

What disappointed you about Something Borrowed?

barely liked the main characters and found the constant internal dialogue extremely boring. I know some people can relate to this book but I am so glad that I just can't. If a girlfriend of mine went through this drama, I really wouldn't want to hear all about it.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Something by Kate Atkinson.

Did Jennifer Wiltsie do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

    yes!

What character would you cut from Something Borrowed?

    Dex.

    Any additional comments?

    nah.
