"Good. You should get it."
Simple as possible review. If you want help changing things, habits, and your life; make this one of the set you should have. Listen twice, do the work. Just about like you'd expect it to be. Get it.
"Sadly, my worst recommendation - Not Recommended"
More of a chatty poorly scripted talk show segment than a profession audio book based on the hard copy, so Not Recommended. Sloppy, drifted from the book, with lots of rambling conversation. Title is purposefully misleading, as hardly any of making money is in the content. Bob Proctor was just in the beginning sections, so again more misleading the consumer by the producers. Poor and sloppy editing. Long gaps of silence. Supposedly new age/quantum/law of attraction advice, but continous and increasingly repetitive references to god, god spirit, etc. Cheap back door reference to not listen to other authors such as the "Hicks" products, because of use of an entity, but then goes right into constant god references. Also noted some content rehashed from "Hicks" presentations of the theme, but poorly replicated. Frequent off the path rambling by author. Scattered, briefly touched upon topics, into many diverse areas without any substantial explanations or foundations. Suppossedly 5 levels of enlightenment, which really turned out to be several vague levels of elitism, sublimially promoted in constantly growing religious "christian/christ" theme. One would have to be already well versed in the real topics to understand what was poorly presented, so I would recommend other avenues to learn about the subject. (Which again, is not even described in the title or beginning of the work.) Poor construction of material and presentation. More of a friendly non focused off the cuff discussion by author - not a well prepared audio version of a book. Author lost the point on many occasions, and simply joked through it. Needed frequent redoing or editing, but left as is, in poor draft quality. I would be fired for producing such poor work. 45 minutes of promotional product selling at the end. Now, I did appreciate the informality of the product, but not the sloppy production, which is unfortunately what you'll remember. Now the author sounds like a nice person, very bubbly, down-under, sexy, sincere, and excited about the presentation, but that's now why you pay full price for a professional audio book. So this is overpriced simply because of poor quality, lack of editing/redoing, and unfocused presentation. The blatent scattered rambling/selling of products at the end, was a bit embarrassing to listen too. It would be OK if you knew about this when purchasing and still purchased, but being mislead to purchase this sloppy product, makes this a not-recommended product. Just a poor product, riding on the tail of "The Secret." You can do so much much better for yourself with other authors and products. Sorry to the author and producers, but they should have never released something that is clearly only in early-draft quality, as a finished full-priced audio guide. Embarrassing.
"An about everything kinda book, with a slight bias"
This one is ok, presented well, and I liked the presentation and the author, and narration of the team. Breaks it up from having one speaker the entire book. Appreciated the effort of gathering the knowledge presented, and when to say "I don't understand."
Now this tells you about the DNA, Universe, religion, myths.... type thing. Giving the science side of the house. All valid stuff and good. So if you've never listened to one of these "everything about everything" volumes then I recommend it, and learned a few more things. The slight bias is to describe how the science point of view is correct, and once you get past the stories, myths, and non-logic of the other beliefs, the science presented is "what's really true." But that is what their theme is, so its on path with the sub-title. So, between the vast amount of science info, intermixed with the stated bias, its a lot of info and an interesting listen. I follow the science side of the house myself, but I also know that, 'what you believe is what's true for you and how you perceive the universe,' so... there's that. Enjoy, I recommend it.
"Never finished - So far."
Interesting. I listened to the first half, then realized I listened to that part once earlier, then remembered it was about the same stuff I listened to in the short review months ago. The first real exercises are good, I wrote them down at work. Then forgot and relistened and did them in my head, listening in the car. I've been meaning to get back to it, and I will. I just keep forgetting. I know that its not funny, but that's reality. I will listen to the rest, and do the rest of the exercises. I need it and I think it can help. Then I'll give a follow-up, if I remember to do both. I gave it half stars until I finish it all, but the first half should have all 5 stars for every category. I'm working on it Ron!
"Interesting and OK"
I expected something slightly different, but then again how would I know what to expect from this. It covered a lot of areas and topics and not just about what happens to your body right after you pass. What they do with donated bodies was interesting and a big part of the story. But it really helped my perspective on this topic and gave me a better knowledge base. It has some typical filler and conversation within, but I think the author did the work required to investigate the subject well, and its appreciated. If you're interested, then go ahead and get it. It will be enlightening.
"Modest, with some flaws at the end."
If you haven't read anything about the brain, layout, and functions, then this would be an interesting first introduction. Performance was a little dull after about halfway through. The story was ok, because it was more story and discussion, then step by step. Generally the same info I've heard before so I'm biased I guess. I would have preferred more on the How-To in more detailed steps, with reinforcing info on how to accomplish 'the strategies.' Ya know, sometimes I wonder if there is some service that sells authors 'canned' examples and history stories of cases and people because I've heard some of this in other books. Towards the later parts of the book, I think they got tired of doing it, and just filled in general info. Seemed to be a drag to the ending. With the extremely unending examples of BBKing and his career as a great brain example to follow, I was sort of wondering if they had much ammo left. Then the last quarter was just endless repeats of the same info summaried over and over and over again. Some clear mistakes of repeating the same examples for fillers. I didn't totally trash it, as noted from my first comments, but I wouldn't mind if all the neurons associated with this one, would disconnect so I can forget it.
"Sure, get this."
It's just what you think. Discussing facial and body language and some tips and tricks to interact with it, and use it. Typical stuff of naming a star when discussing a certain body language trait, and going deeper how this depicts their lifestyle then I would have thought. Then he adds in some deeper stuff about how it reflects parts of the viewer. The last section is almost like a few afterthought hightlights thrown in that could have been more chapters and a longer book. I gather its some rehashing of earlier stuff, with the Star thing added in to promote the book. However, I liked it, liked the extras, and recommend it. Unless you are already beyond the level of this book, and therefore, you wouldn't be reading this review anyway. Fast easy listen, well spoken, and produced.
"Good info to know about"
Overall, I recommend this listen. If you got here, you have some interest in the topic, so its worth it to go all the way and order it. Some dry spots, and dry case studies, but overall good info spread across the book. You'll get your first longevity key earlier on, and a good summary at the end. This description, summary, and modern update comment, to the previous 'longevity study' has some surprising outcomes. Now this book doesn't tell you how to go about changing yourself to be like the personality types that did the best (lived longest). That would take several other guides and a lot of effort. But this book does tell you the types and behaviors of those people that lived longer. Its always up to you to make changes accordingly. The book makes some suggestions for society and hopes that lessons learned will be incorporated, but I wouldn't wait for the outside world to do that. There is enough in this guide to help you in a more correct path to living longer. And the common pitfalls of incorrect thinking and info you think you already have. Plus its interesting. I'll wait a week or so then replay the summary. Go for it.
"Its a good followup to and about the movie."
Granted, not a whole lot new, but stuff that went on in the creation of the movie and how they went down the process of making the movie, even using some of their own techniques. If you are into it, and you liked "The Secret" and this Movie, then get the book and have fun listening. The technical underneath it all is still in there. And even most in science don't know what to make of this new understanding of life and what this book touches on. And if you are indeed into "it," you will want to have listened to this. No one can tell you what you can get out of it but you. If you haven't seen the movie, you have to first of course, before this book, or you may be lost. Do both. If you already get "it" get this too.
"Great, so get it."
The scope is focused and its helpful. I mean any bit of stress you can manage, relieve, or become aware about (which is what this book is about) is worth its weight in gold. The worksheets that you can get are simple and work. This will help you understand stress and breakdown what the stress is really all about, helping you move away from it, and recognize it for bad thinking, and how to get around it. How much effort you put into the work afterwards is always up to you. A nice companion website I recommend and the discussion/message forum is good for support. The author will even respond to you on its facebook page. Time for me to listen again and do more of the work. Get this one if you are looking for improvement.
"Get it. I mean its even Free!"
Get it and listen for yourself. Its free and worth the short story that you can listen to on the commute home in one day. Really, just get it.
