This book is directed to someone of Christian faith.

Has The Power of Positive Thinking turned you off from other books in this genre?

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrator?

Anyone else. This guy sounded like he just came out of the back woods and mumbled his way through.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The writer has some positive messages.

  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 23 mins)
    • By Stephen Chbosky
    • Narrated By Noah Galvin
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Most people think 15-year-old Charlie is a freak. But then seniors Patrick and his beautiful stepsister Sam take Charlie under their wings and introduce him to their eclectic, open-minded, hard-partying friends. It is from these older kids that Charlie learns to live and love.

FanB14 says: "Intelligent, Absorbing Coming of Age Story"
    "Amazing and Unexpected!"
Would you listen to The Perks of Being a Wallflower again? Why?

I will listen to this story again, because I know I missed some of the clues which lead to the ending that tugged at my heart. I should have seen it coming, yet somehow I missed it....It is a beautiful story about growth and self discovery.

What did you like best about this story?

The story slowly draws you in and you become attached to Charlie. You see him grow and change and wrestle with adolescence. It was so easy to relate to his confusion, his feelings, his fears and the more I read and the more letters Charlie wrote, the more I cared for him. This is a story about a very emotional young man and his journey of self discovery. Understanding who he is in relation to the world is not easy for him, but is a journey the reader wants to take with him.

Which character – as performed by Noah Galvin – was your favorite?

Noah was able to bring Charlie to life. He was able to make him real, his emotions, his confusion came to life and as the reader I felt every emotion Noah conveyed, as Charlie. I would be interested in listening to other books narrated by Noah. Great job!

Who was the most memorable character of The Perks of Being a Wallflower and why?

I felt every breath Charlie took, every panic attack, every joy, every confusion.....thanks to Noah Galvin!

    Any additional comments?

I'm interested to see the movie.........somehow I dont know if it will touch me the way this book has

  • Hold Still

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 16 mins)
    • By Nina LaCour
    • Narrated By Emma Galvin

In words and illustrations, Ingrid left behind a painful farewell in her journal for Caitlin. Now Caitlin is left alone, by loss and by choice, struggling to find renewed hope in the wake of her best friend's suicide. With the help of family and newfound friends, Caitlin will encounter first love, broaden her horizons, and start to realize that true friendship didn't die with Ingrid.

RaisinNut says: "A Moving Story of Love and Loss"
    "An incredible, must-listen!!"
Would you listen to Hold Still again? Why?

I was so drawn into the story by Emma Galvin's ability to narrate with emotion and to draw you into the story, that I've already listened to it twice!! You are taken through heartbreak, fear, anger and the recovery from grief in such a real way. I absolutely admire Emma Galvin's abilitly to make you feel each of those emotions......I am a BIG fan of her work and I hope to hear more from her soon!

What about Emma Galvin’s performance did you like?

Emma's voice is so expressive and her emotions are so genuine, that I picture her eyes full of tears when mine are and a smile on her face, when she has taken me to that place too. She is an incredibly talented young lady and I want to hear ANYTHING she's narrating. She takes you on the journey of the story with her........

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment in the theater when Ingrid's pictures were on the big screen, where Caitlyn took pictures of them......there were so many gripping and heart-wrenching moments. Please don't miss this read (listen)
