"Great story, horrible audio"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?All of Terry Pratchett's books are great fun to read. I would recommend the book with the caveat that the audio recording leaves much to be desired. It is almost like the recording is ripped from CDs with fade in/out turned on at the end of each track.
Which scene was your favorite?Anything with Angua in it.
Do you think Feet of Clay needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?There are already lots of followup books.

"Great Story, awful narration."
Would you try another book from Carl Hiaasen and/or James Van Der Beek?Carl Hiaasen is a brilliant, funny, author and I love his stories. James Van Der Beek leaves much to be desired as a narrator. His flat tone made an exciting book dull.
Who was your favorite character and why?Wahoo, of course. Great kid. I wish there were more like him.
Would you be willing to try another one of James Van Der Beek???s performances?No. Not at this time.
Did Chomp inspire you to do anything?Wait anxiously for the next Carl Hiaasen book.
Any additional comments?There are many problems with the narration. The words in several places are changed from the text (eg: Van Der Beek refers to the Everglades as a sea, but the text says water.) Hiaasen knows the Everglades are freshwater, but apparently Van Der Beek doesn't. I found Van Der Beek's performance flat and at times difficult to follow the flow of the action. His switching in and out of the "aussie" accent for Derek Badger was annoying, especially since the text states WHERE and WHEN he dropped the accent. I give Van Der Beek a C+ on this one.
