Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

    "great start"
    Overall

Hunger games is a great start to the trilogy. I enjoyed it. It does have alot of violence but there is a purpose to the fighting. It was engaging all the way through the fights, the compassion and the fear.

The first in a mesmerizing four-book original series, Prodigal Son is a brilliant re-imagining and updating of the classic Frankenstein story that only Dean Koontz could conceive. Two hundred years old, the "monster", Deucalion, is a monster no more. Literate and intelligent, he arrives in modern-day New Orleans, where he will join forces with a street-smart police detective and her partner on the trail of a macabre serial killer.

Would you listen to Frankenstein, Book One: Prodigal Son again? Why?

I like the story and how it twists and turns. I never read a book twice because there are so many to read and so little time!

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

Scott Brick's voice fits the feeling of the story.

    Any additional comments?

I have just finished part one and am starting part 2 of the first book. Its great and I have already recommended it to friends. I am a Koontz fan, and this is certainly up to the standard I expect from him.

    "better than book 1"
    Overall

I liked this one even better than Hunger Games. The continuation of the story, as the characters figure out who the real enemy is, was great. The end was not exactly what I had hoped for, but was so good that I was appeased. At the end of the book, I logged on immediately to get book three only to discover that it is not yet released. I am hoping that Audible picks it up as soon as it is out - Aug 24, 2010. I cannot wait to finish the story!
