Loved this book even though content is very dark unlike anything I have ever read before. This story pulls you and I found myself very engrossed in it.
This was a good listen. I usually don't like books involving bands but I was interested in the Hangover take with a woman. It is fun.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. Everything was tied up with no questions unanswered. I found myself involved with the characters. The writing is so good you are able to over look the horrible behaviors of the characters and love them. I will be looking for more from J. M. Darhower. Loved Carla Mercer-Meyer's narration.
This book was a fun adventure into the dark side of Mafia and added in human slaves trade. After I type that it sounds crazy, but this a really good book of empowerment and risks people do for love and honor. I was so glad the next was available.
I found myself saying "why would that happen?". These books have such potential but just falls flat for me.
Wished there was much more adventure. This could have been so good. I kept waiting for more to do with Russian mob.
I struggled to get through. I never got a connection to the characters and myself not caring it they lived or not. I kept thinking something big would happen.
Wrote from a male POV. I laughed out loud. I could listen to Sebastian York read the ABCs and be content. Just go listen to this book.
These "lane" books are just a fun listens and I love listening to the talented narrators.
I didn't love this book like many others did. It was way too wordy and I found myself tuning out but on the other hand skipped over parts that would have been good to develop. It would have been so much better if it was half the amount of time. Narration was awesome and kept me listening.
I loved "On The Island" but this wasn't my favorite. I find myself bored and was hoping she would cheat which isn't good.
