Idiots can't be identified through voting records, they can be found only by looking for people who hide behind stereotypes, embrace partisanship, and believe that bumper-sticker slogans are a substitute for common sense. If you know someone who fits the bill, then Arguing with Idiots will help you silence them once and for all with the ultimate weapon: the truth.

If you could sum up Arguing with Idiots in three words, what would they be?

First Glenn Beck book ive listened to and I loved it.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Not sure have to read a book to be able to compare.

    Any additional comments?

Great listen and would definetly refer all to listen.

This true modern masterpiece is built around the two fateful words that make up the title and herald the end - “Alas, Babylon.” When a nuclear holocaust ravages the United States, a thousand years of civilization are stripped away overnight, and tens of millions of people are killed instantly. But for one small town in Florida, miraculously spared, the struggle is just beginning, as men and women of all backgrounds join together to confront the darkness....

Would you try another book from Pat Frank and/or Will Patton?

Yes but only hoping that it'll be better than this borefest.

What was most disappointing about Pat Frank’s story?

The beginning was boring and it took to long to pick up the plot of the story. To much nonsense I think that has nothing to do with anything but hey you might like this but me not so much.

Would you be willing to try another one of Will Patton’s performances?

Yes but his tongue brushing his teeth and making a weird sloshing sound was kinda getting old.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Boredom

America is in the thrall of a full-scale socioeconomic breakdown. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation destroys the value of the dollar, and the population, unprepared for hardship, panics. Practically overnight, the high technology infrastructure and chains of supply collapse and wholesale rioting and looting grip every city. Law enforcement, transportation, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies are all in the past now, as the country staggers beneath its own weight.

What would have made Survivors better?

If the story would have followed less groups of people it would have been much better because more of a story would have been created and not just bits and pieces of non-sense.

What was most disappointing about James Wesley, Rawles’s story?

Nothing like his amazing book patriots, looks like i'll have to read that one again.

What didn’t you like about Dick Hill’s performance?

How every voice he imitated sounded like a mexican girl.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The last maybe 2 hours of the book started getting interesting although I almost didn't make it. Put the book down around 7 times for being disappointed.

    Any additional comments?

This book is a prequel to patriots so some of the information is helpful if you havn't read patriots yet but the only part that is useful is the Doyle's.
