A nicely written, and narrated novel. The tempo I quite slow, but I found my self interested in the small and big thing In his life. Religion is a big part of the book and can be a bit to much for a godless European. It didn?t bather me to mush.
An easy to understand and well told history of Rome. The narrator is very British, but it didn’t bother me much. The authors claim that Hellenism ruins the Roman republic is farfetched, he is talking about the greeks contaminating the roman blood!
Even though it is a TV series, it is still very funny. Maybe it is because you remember the pictures when your hear the sound. I did anyway.
I hoped that the book showed some insight in American politics. But in the hour I listen it was only boring bashing of right wing commentators. Avoid this unless you are a liberal fanboy, everybody else should find something more serious.
It is not a bad book, but i did not find it that funny. I think you have to be a American to fully appreciate it.
